Both are going to try rescuing (obviously not together). Dorian can plan, certainly, but he's not a strategist. That being said, his magic gives him a lot of flexibility on the battlefield up to and including literally forcing people to flee in terror...

...Remy is an expert at infiltration so any rescue group who needs him to go in undetected is going to be very happy at their selection.
