I can adapt. I'll be fine. It's other people I worry about. The ones who don't understand the dangers or risks round them even more. The ones who think everything is fine and safe and that nothing out there can touch them in the city. Or that the city isn't just as dangerous in its own ways.
[Then again, she had learned long ago that she couldn't save other people, more often than not. She could save herself and offer words of caution to others, but everyone was responsible for their own survival. It had to be that way. Trying to save everyone from themselves would kill you.]
I think it's beautiful here. Dangers and all. It's worth the risk just to see some of the things you can see out there in the jungle.
