You'd be in the right general area, yes! Warlocks in my world can make deals with demons, as you put it, and frequently do. But it's just one facet of our abilities and we have magic of our own that's completely independent of any power we get from those contracts. We don't really use the word 'wizard,' but someone who isn't born with their own magic and learns to use other forms of magic would be called a witch. They're exceedingly rare - or at least those who have any true, measurable ability are.
