True, that doesn't sound terribly different. I wonder if there's something about magic that's immutable across every world.
So no one teaches magic at all? A child that manifests magic is just supposed to figure it out on their own? There's no danger to that?
... Who
already
has immortality? Besides spirits, I suppose, though even spirits can be killed.
