Honestly? Whatever means the least amount of work for you is what I'm in favor for. You're doing this on your own and while a bestiary is nice, it's not necessary when there's other things that you can be doing, including playing in your own game. If it works for you, I'm game. If it doesn't, I'm also game with not having it. I think everyone else is pretty much on board with trying to keep mod-work to a minimum.
