Back home, today, they celebrate the Feast of Saint Nikolina, which is essentially a holiday to celebrate those who we share a community with. People will join their family, friends, and neighbors all throughout the city, bringing homemade dishes, drinks, and flowers to share as they spend the day together. [With everyone so far from their homes, she thought it could be good for everyone to get to know each other in a setting or event that isn't organized by the people who brought them here. A celebration for the displaced, by the displaced.] I've been cooking and baking since last night, if anyone would like to join me today. You're all welcome to bring more food and drinks, and no one will be turned away if they simply bring themselves and their appetite.
Of course, if anyone's willing to help me set up I'd be appreciative. There's quite a few dishes and tables I'll need to bring downstairs.
Otherwise, I'll be down in the park just next to the community housing in an hour or so, and will likely be there until dusk.
