They weren't going to let him in. At least not if he was by himself. Alec knew that all he had to do was find some other single being and they could sneak into the club, but it didn't feel right. Every time he was about to take a step toward someone, he thought of Magnus and the club lost its appeal. It didn't matter that he intended to patrol, it was a couple's night and his boyfriend was an entire reality away.
Maybe he should go back to his quarters and wait out the storm.
He'd done enough in the past few days. He could take a night off. Except that would give him time to think, to remember who was waiting back home and how he couldn't go back. No, it was better if he was moving around and helping others instead of feeling sorry for himself.
Alec noticed someone who looked like they were trying to get in the club without a date and started toward them when he heard footsteps. The sound didn't register as a threat so he didn't notice until he felt a familiar hand on his shoulder and the rain suddenly stopped pouring down on him.
Magnus.
As soon as he was facing his boyfriend, Alec grinned, all the sadness in his expression turning to joy and awe. Catching the belt loops on Magnus' pants, he pulled him close answering the question with a slow, deep kiss. There were a few catcalls and whistles from the people waiting in line, but Alec ignored them, focusing on Magnus being with him. He'd known that Magnus would find a way to find him, but he hadn't expected it to be so soon. For the first time since arriving, he began to feel like he wasn't completely lost.
Reluctantly pulling away when he needed to catch his breath, he smiled again, cupping Magnus cheek. He half expected him to disappear like a Fairy illusion even after the kiss. "I knew you'd find me."
