Jason might be packing relatively lightly for the mission, but compared to Steve, he almost looks like Mad Max. Steve doesn't appear to be armed at all, dressed in a simple navy blue tactical outfit. The only real item of note is the gray metal cuff around one wrist, which doesn't really provide any protection against monsters. Steve is just confident.

"If we meet Godzilla out here, I don't think any one thing we're bringing is going to be the deciding factor. We'll just have to get creative." The answer is calm despite the very real possibility that they'll be in over their heads. They don't know what kind of predators are hunting in the storm.
