[ Different seems to be the theme among the people in this Riverview place and Líadan is no exception to that. Seated at the back of the truck with her legs crossed under her, she looks about as proper a fit as any among her present company what with her cloth robes and cloak accented with a leather belt, bracers, boots, and satchel. Browns and greens are her colors with the occasional black and bits of yellow thrown into the mix. The bow and quiver of arrows at her back and the dagger sheathed at her side speak well enough as to what period might be modern to her. More telling is the light in her eyes. In a sea of all too serious and disgruntled expressions, hers speaks openly of an excitement that's made that much more apparent when the truck finally stops. She's the first off, light of step and quieter still, and close enough to the first to enter.
Once underground, she slows enough to be said to linger for a moment, but not out of any sort of fear. Rather, she takes a moment to test the acoustics of the place with a couple of well placed vocals, sounding out the tunnel and listening carefully for any changes down the way. It's not long after that that she's running ahead, there and gone and there again in appearance for well sung and subsequently well spun illusion. Her dagger finds its mark in the skull of the first monstrosity and she's moving quickly along to the sound of her very own figurative drum. Just mind you don't get a foot caught in one of the ice 'snakes' that may run along the floor. They don't discriminate in entrapment.
If you happen to come upon her after the area has been cleared, Lí is the one lingering behind, taking various items off the corpses of the slain reptilian 'monsters' with the help of her trusty dagger where appropriate. Fangs, claws, scales, poison sacs, eggs where she finds them -- it's all given the same treatment. She brings the items close to her mouth, hums a soft little tune, and they're encased in a thick layer of ice, after which she's quick to deposit them in the satchel at her waist without much ceremony at all for safe keeping. ]
II. INTO THE DEPTHS
[ It's primarily curiosity that sees Líadan volunteer to stick it out and help in the tunnels. That, and the knowledge that she can't very well get back to the Isle in any sort of remotely timely fashion if her hosts are preoccupied fixing problems of this apparent magnitude, not that she's in any real hurry to leave. This Riverview place is proving to be something exciting and mostly enjoyable with no shortage of fun things for her to do, experience, and explore and she likes that. It's partially why she's taken to running supplies in the tunnels. She isn't familiar with the workings of the faulty devices, arcane or mundane, but she's as curious about them as she is about the people trying to fix them, not to mention the tunnels themselves. Running presents her with an opportunity to gain some insight into all three and she's nothing if not fast. She may be working up an appetite, but she's got a ways to go before she starts to really feel the wear and tear, which makes her well suited to the job.
Lí can be found running the tunnels between drop points when she's not at one and she tends to linger at her stops for a moment or two. Shy about approaching people? Not at all, but she does do something a mite odd on her own time. She tends to turn her ears to the devices they're working on and furrow her brow just slightly as if she's listening very intently only to seemingly snap out of it after a moment and go about her business. That business might involve singing a spell of healing should someone be injured.
