[When the elevator decides to grind to a jerky halt and the lights cuts out - soon replaced by emergency lighting, but still - Cloud stops feeling relieved that at least both of them are more or less as bloody and muddy so he's not stinking up the place for someone who hadn't been down in the tunnels (presumably, anyway). Stops being relieved because while he really didn't mind sharing space with someone who didn't look like they wanted to talk, he also looks sharp enough to lash out if he gets frustrated...
Glancing up through his bangs at the comment, the little agreeing grimace that escapes him is completely reflexive. Shifting his rifle off his shoulder to rest against his leg instead, Cloud bites back a sigh and almost doesn't say anything. Hesitates for a little longer before he shakes his head, his spikes still staying up as they are and moving with the motion despite sweat and blood spattered in his hair.]
