[Cassian doesn't consider himself any kind of technical genius, after all, that's part of why he took Kay with him whenever he went out. But he'd helped out with clearing out the lizard creatures from the underground, and when they're calling for people to help out with making the tech work, Kay isn't here, and he figures it's worth a shot. He might not be able to do much, but he can take a look at it.

Blaster holstered, he crouches a bit and heads into the tunnels, taking a look at the various panels and exposed, broken circuitry. None of it is familiar at first, but eventually he comes across something he knows something about. Crouching a little, he squints at it, turns a bit to catch the eye of whoever happens to be around.]

[There's something reassuringly familiar about some of the back streets in this place. Eclectic and noisy, the sides of the street lined with booths and tents with goods piled up on tables, aliens shouting advertisements in a plethora of languages. It's comfortable, and even if Cassian isn't particularly in the market for anything, he tends to spend a lot of time in any one of the permanent street markets.

It's raining, today, but with weak, watery sunlight streaking through the drops, and he pauses just under the edge of the awning at a fruit vendor, buffing off some kind of local fruit on his sturdy, functional jacket. Dark eyes scanning around, he takes a bite, winces a little as his teeth cut the sour rind and sink into the sweet core. He's chewing when he catches eyes with a passer-by, holds that gaze for a moment. It might be better to be unobtrusive, but he can also see that the person in question is being followed - whether it's a thief, an undercover cop, or something else, he isn't sure. Best to find out.

Stepping out into the rain, he swallows and smiles faintly at the person being tailed.]
