Player Plot: Paint Ball Battle
After the glitz and glamour of the Glow Ball, it’s about time we got dirty.
There’s talk around town about a competition beyond the wall with an incredible prize that changes every year. Eventually, posters and flyers start to litter the walls, they’re posted in shopfronts and slipped into letter boxes, obviously trying to drum up enthusiasm for a good show.
The posters are advertising what looks to be a Paintball Contest, held in the jungles outside the walls. Safety is assured from the dangers of the jungle, but no promises are made about any injuries you acquire when playing dirty. It’s not the first competition, and it has a legacy of amazing prizes tailored for the victors.
There are no teams, but there will be two winners. It’s a ruthless game and the excitement is apparent. The event is televised, filmed through drone cameras, so that people who don’t like to get their hands dirty can watch from the comfort of the Hot Springs’ Inn. Later on, after the competition is over, dirty contestants will convene in the same Inn and enjoy a scrub off and a soak in the springs. A huge buffet will be present through the day for people to come and go, with a variety of hearty winter foods, desserts and a hot chocolate bar.
Perimeter Guards who are not interested in participating are asked to, unsurprisingly, secure the perimeter. They will be keeping any jungle beasts at bay and listening for sounds of distress, diving in to help any injured or threatened parties. These parts of the jungle are relatively safe, but part of the fun is the wildness of the surroundings.
The prize for two winners will be the sum of 500AP points, which you are free to assume has gone toward an awesome, customized prize for your character.
The only stipulations are that you cannot use these points for an additional character slot.
