● threading preferences: I'm up for anything, really. Prose or brackets, but I tend to prefer logs over network stuff.
● threading habits: I'm CST and work + am starting up school again this week. I can boomerang at random hours (usually late at night my time) especially if it's important for CR. On the other extreme, there can be gaps in my tags when my schedule is insanely busy. But I try to hit things up at least once a day.
● about you: I'm starting up grad school to get my phd next week so that's a thing I'm excited about.

● about: Extremely awkward kid that's been locked up in a lab because of her psychic mojo powers is let loose in the world for the first time is a good cliff's notes for what interacting with her is like.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: Exploring and missions, but just general stuff like meeting people and learning how to socialize are great too.
● what plans you have for this character: I have no big plans for Eleven right now, but I'd love for her to meet any other kids that are around so she can make friends! I signed her up for the paintball tournament that's coming up, so anything that can come from that would be great too. She's just going to be settling in since she just arrived.
● shipping/smut preferences: I'd prefer no shipping with her, please!

● what your character wants: Waffles and friends. In that exact order.
● what your character needs: See above. She also needs adults she can learn to trust and rely on, and maybe someone who can help her reign in and use her powers in ways that aren't self-destructive and unstable. People she can imitate and learn some social skills from would be good too. Both bad and good influences are welcome.

● any open post/ic inbox links: I don't have any open posts right now, but I'm working on tossing her around the monthly mingle. I'm also planning on tossing up an open log in the next week or so that will enable Eleven to be approached by people.

If you're looking for a bad influence on how to people, I have a teenage Viking warrior who is literally a psychopath. He's angry all the time and wears his emotions on his sleeve, so I'm sure nothing but good will come from influencing a girl with psychic powers.

She's perfectly stable and clearly the best person to be influenced by an angry psychopath. The good news about all this is, if he earns her trust she won't use her powers on him if he ever is angry in her direction.

Surprisingly, he's not all that bad with kids younger than him, if his interactions with his sister, Laura, and Stan are anything to go by. So this actually might not end with a nuclear mushroom cloud exploding over the city!

This adorable child lives on Dorian's floor. He can teach her love her abilities and develop bad coping mechanisms!

I mean he would adopt her but continually feel he's a terrible influence, of course.

She needs people to adopt and guide her, so she can just follow him around like a little duck every now and then.

They are already on their way to becoming good friends so Eleven can be adopted very soon. She's going to think he's the best dad ever. The fact he's actually nice to his daughter will probably make her confused at first, to the point where she isn't sure what to think.

Well, Ava sort of straddles that line between kid and adult in really strange and complicated ways, but she could maybe be a sort of gateway drug to Adults. XD

Ava was also a human experiment that was pretty much locked up in labs for as long as she can remember up until she ran away when she was 14. She also has weird powers, and tends to be awkward with people.

I would love her to attempt to be a good influence while internally screaming because she does now know what she is doing????

This sounds a lot like what Eleven needs! I think once Eleven feels comfortable, she can open up some and that will help her a lot. Do you have any open threads or anything up right now?

Yeah, and Ava sort of has issues with trusting people, so she both understands having trouble opening up, and that staying closed off isn't a Good Thing. She's not pushy but she is stubborn, basically. XD

And I do! I have her on the Glow Ball over here but I'd also be up for tossing up a log for first meetings if none of those prompts works.

And for the help with her tk. I think Jaina is young enough for Eleven to trust her pretty much instantly and call her a friend, but old enough that Eleven will view her as a mentor.

Yeah, and El's young enough for Jaina to be protective over and also proud when she kicks ass. She's thinking both her brothers are gone, so she is likely to be very much the former for a while.

Hiya! I am very canon-blind, but Odo needs more children in his CR so that he can be secretly adorable.

I saw you said you she needs people to teach her social skills - here's the thing with Odo - he had to truly learn social skills through both being taught and observation, so he's coming from a standpoint where they were not inherently natural to him - and some of them he finds really dumb, and chooses to ignore.

But if you're up for it, I feel like that could be a subject to build on.

He also has SUPER ISSUES of being locked in a lab, and would sympathize with that like 110%

I'm definitely not familiar with his character, but that just means I can learn about him at the same time as Eleven does! I think that he could be a good teacher for Eleven to learn social things, particularly in dealing with adults. So I think a pick and choose mentality of deciding which social skills to follow works, because she does the same thing too.

That's cool, mutual learning about characters from other canons for the win!

To put it this way, when his canon Not!Dad suggested that he was having trouble with social integration, Odo said "I integrate as much as I want to!"

I think he could help her navigate the most crucial bits of "social skills 101" at least, and let her know which bits are fine to pass on.

Question! I am curious - how long as she been cooped up in a lab? Like, I guess when her powers manifested?
