Hey hello hi! My name is Revu and I'm fresh out of the oven with an original character from the scifi/horror series I've been writing for way too long.


may or may not be an accurate visual representation.
Anyway, this is Rey (not of the Star Wars variety. I was definitely not intending to be confusing, sob). She's a synthetic humanoid who sets stuff on fire, including herself. Despite that, she might take issues with other synthetics/machines that try to pass as human, because they've caused a bit of a disaster in her world. Otherwise she's an ex-soldier/living weapon that only recently has been trying to learn all about freedom and all that jazz. If you'd like more info, I got her application here as well as other facts in this journal. She's terrible with people and has poor manners so I apologize for her in advance, especially for those who are living in communal housing. She'll be on Floor 6.

Hey there, Coffee! Also EEEEE Animorphs! Those books were what officially made me want to become a writer, as well as got me started on being an avid reader. I have such fond childhood memories of that series.

(Actually I'm finding it funny now since I have Rey in her first official thread here displaying all the table manners reminiscent to Ax. Though for much different reasons, haha.)

Oh my god. I'm so glad someone is canon familiar! For such a popular series, I haven't run into a lot of people who are. :) Those books were my childhood and they get even better when you're a grown up, I swear (wink wink nudge nudge). Since you're canon familiar, I'm actually playing him from right at the end of book 54 so he's not like 2 years old.

Man, I remember seeing them at book fares when I was in third grade, and always looking forward to a new one coming out every month throughout elementary and middle school. Those books were my life for many years, though sadly I can't recall if I ever finished them. I was lamenting when the author's other series got cut short due to them not selling nearly as well.

Thanks for the handy link! My physical copies got lost during my many moves so I'm glad there's a place online to read them.

Oh man. I haven't read Everworld yet, but I'm most of the way through Remnants, and I have this too: glandular

Because apparently half-Latino best friends to the main character are my jam, even if they're totally different characters.

I would 500% recommend them! They're only 12 books but they do the whole mishmash of multiple mythologies really well. I feel bad but I never really liked Jake from Animorphs, but I loved David as the "leader" character (mostly because being the leader in Everworld means "let's blame everything on David").

Remnants is another one that I'd been meaning to get into! I read the first couple of books and, while I really loved them, I never got around to continuing - for no real reason, honestly. I might give them another shot sometime, because those books are delightfully gruesome. I totally remember Mo'Steel, though!
