Allo, allo Riverview!
I'm MonkeysInPants, available on Plurk as
MonkeysInPants. Truly a woman of many names. I bring you Wikus van der Merwe from the movie District 9! He's your average white-collar office worker employed by an ethically dubious corporation, who accidentally finds himself transforming into an alien. Tough break.
So, warning-wise, Wikus's life is kind of one big forced-transformation body-horror show right now. If you don't do good with that sort of stuff, just let me know by PM and I'll steer clear of your characters or keep the descriptions light!
For the moment he's a jobless bum busy feeling sorry for himself and living out of the Floor 8 communal housing.
I'm looking forward to bouncing this train wreck off of people!

Scott and Wikus. Two very different sorts of buggy men! Sounds like fun to me!

And if I have my way, he's going to be dealing with various attempts of cures that have him bouncing along the scale of human to alien. Because his life is suffering.
Nice to meet you too, kc! I have a friend that adores YOI, but I haven't watched it myself yet. It sounds pretty fun!

Laughs, honestly, it makes sense, and at least here no one should in theory be trying to kill and/or use him as a living test subject. Probably? Maybe?
HHAHA it's a wholesome sort of series with a lot of love in it (both put into it by those who worked on it and within the series itself), definitely a sport and character piece. I love it (.......... obviously) and recommend it when people are up for something heartwarming in the end!

I laughed when I was looking at games for Wikus and Riverview was like "people who feel out of place/like they don't belong even for a moment". He has maybe felt like that. Just a little bit. A tad.
I find that sports animes are often better than they have any right to be. Cough Eyeshield21 cough. I'll have to check it out when I have binging time!

laughs, yeah, somehow it seems like he'd be a great fit for when feeling wildly out of place everywhere he turns. ah, his life... his unfortunate life
LAUGHS YEAH it's far more realistic than E21 so its zaniness is more usual world levels, but still amusingly over the top with a lot of good character exploration. Definitely about someone dealing with their anxiety and how that's not all an easy or exact science, wee

Aww, sounds nice! :D
(I have an OTA prompt up on the event log if you want your skater to bump into this garbage man)
