+1 COOL DAD & a return from hiatus

Hey there, it's Ros, coming back from an unexpected May hiatus with a new character, and the first OC I've played in a game in a million years.


This is Jeff, who's from a world where magic exists out in the open, but only for about 12% of the population, and it's kind of needlessly difficult and not super powerful (especially with 20th/21st century advances in technology) etc etc etc, so not a lot of people bother to do much with it.

A bunch of worldbuilding and character info can be found in his journal, but the short of it is: he's a divorced dad, a high school teacher, and he doesn't like to do a whole lot of magic anymore because it nearly wrecked his entire life back when he was a wild and reckless wannabe rockstar... bard.

ANYWAY, NOW HE'S A TEACHER AT GRAMARYE MAGIC RESEARCH! He'll be teaching non-magical subjects to youths who can't/won't go to the public school (whether because they don't want to, or because their powers interfere with traditional classroom settings, etc). LMK if you're interested in doing something with the teaching and Gramarye stuff-- or anything, really, I'm totally open to anything.

ALSO, now that I'm back from hiatus, I'll be easing Kylo Ren (killthepast) and Chase Collins (bastardofipswich) back into things. Most of their threads from May and earlier will be dropped unless they're plot-related, but lmk if you want to continue any of them. Yesss! It's totally gravy, ADDED BACK. And now that I'm back, I was thinking about putting a mingle top-level up for Chase, so he can finally meet Dorian (or alternately, if Dorian has one up, I can throw Chase at him) with what we plotted on the CR meme. AS FOR JEFF, he's totally open for any interactions.

Ooh, I'd love to have him and Peter meet, they could be fascinating. I'd like to do more with him and Chase, too. Basically I just need to throw him at all of your magic people.

I WOULD LOVE THAT. I was thinking he'd have some really fun CR with Peter, so I am ALL FOR THEM MEETING. And also I want to try Chase and Peter again! I felt so bad that May turned out to be a huge bust for RP, when they were in the middle of a thread.

Is he going to have a Prijata top level to hit up?

Jeff is already super endearing (in no small part because of Timothy Olyphant) from what I've stalked his threads on the mingle log (cough), and his world sounds really interesting!

But yes, hi-- I'm Ebs, a newbie, and I should at some point throw Keira at Jeff since they both work at Gramarye. Adding you on plurk, hope that's okay. c:

Oh man, thank you! I never really write OCs, so I was admittedly a little nervous about him being like, interesting at all to people.

Welcome to the game! I was looking over Keira's info last night and thought she'd be great cr for Jeff, SO I'M REALLY EXCITED. Also Chase will probably think she's pretty cool, and he works at Gramarye, too, as a student researcher (glorified intern/errand boy), so there's some cr opportunity there, as well. (And adding's always welcome!)
