My name is Runner and my Plurk is over at

Right now, I'm bringing Professor Sycamore from Pokemon XY/XYZ anime and I'm pulling him away after the events in Kalos League Passion with a Certain Flare! where he managed to talk to Alain, but before Finals Not for the Faint-Hearted! where he was about to watch the Lumiose Conference finals.

Long story short, Augustine Sycamore is a Pokemon Professor in the Kalos region and his main research subject is Mega Evolution, think of it as a temporary power-up form for Pokemon powered by their friendship. While in the game canon where he gave up trying out Mega Evolution because he doesn't have any skill at it, Sycamore's anime canon can use Mega Evolution as well owning his own Key Stone and a Mega Stone that can evolve his Garchomp.
