character ● name: finn ● age: 23 ● occupation: perimeter guard (regular member and rr-1 unit) ● residence: chillin in a city apartment with poe dameron ● about: finn was raised to be cookie-cutter, serial-numbered stormtrooper by basically a big space murder cult looking to subjugate the galaxy, and he had a real knack for all the soldiering. until they were like "well don't forget the first order is more important than caring about teammates surviving, also your orders are to shoot all these unarmed civilians" and he had...... an Awakening. dun dun dun.
anyway, finn is an overall good person who gets attached fast and is inclined to help anyone in front of him who needs help. he's intense, has no chill, and tends to take things very seriously. after over half a year in game getting to just work on being a person, he's gained a modicum of chill? he's better at having fun, even if he's probably never gonna be the type of person who straight-up relaxes. finn is just 0-100 ride or die with a good heart and a penchant for arguing. has a pretty bad case of impostor's syndrome, pessimism, and waiting for second shoes to fall whenever things are good. he has a lot of trauma and issues that he's working really hard to sit on and ignore dealing with.
i've said it before and it's still accurate. he's like a mall pretzel. salty but ultimately Soft. he has an app in his journal with other info, and a supplementary canon page if you want any of those juicy backstory deets!
● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: i enjoy toying around with all the game aspects for finn, but i definitely lean more towards slice of life and character development than the action-adventure and i'll admit that. pretty much down for anything! ● what plans you have for this character: right now i have nothing too specific lined up for him. i play a lot of stuff by ear! he is signed on for shuttle-flying lessons at the perimeter guard, that's about it? i've got an open schedule. ● shipping/smut preferences: open for m/f and m/m with finn! i'm fine writing smut or fading to black/handwaving depending on thread partner preferences. hookups, dates, fwbs, that's all totally chill with me. shipping is a liiittle more complicated with finn. like yeah he'd die for someone after 2 hours if they're nice to him and he'd probably marry half his cr if they asked because he's a disaster. but i don't think he's in a good place for actual committed serious stuff with all his other issues rn. so it's less about finding the right true love connection, and more about the fact that he's a mess at default, which doesn't make a gr8 foundation for legit romance. we're playing the long development game in this chili's tonight. i can't pretend otherwise.
