I feel the need to establish at the very least that Breq will be coming to more of Jeff's open mic night performances if he ends up continuing them with any regularity, and probably talking to him at those too

I don't know if they'd end up opening up to each other much since she's as much of a clam about her past as he is from your description, but she's a big music enthusiast even though she's not a performer, and she'll love prodding him for songs

Oh yes! He's going to be continuing them pretty regularly, unless whatever winds up happening in the new exploration mingle derails him. (Though if he does get derailed from his open mic shows for a while, then starts them up again, that could be a starting point for them to possibly open up to each other.)

I'm all for them chatting about music some more!

It may or may not be possible during this mingle, but I think she'd be interested in learning more about how fighting as a bard works, too, so that'd be another good opportunity.

Oh god his answer will be so disappointing, because he's never tried to use magic in any fighting situation before. He's a bardly pacifist... But he'll try to explain how it could work in theory!

Which... you did imply in that starter up there, whoops! Still, music-as-magic is fascinating to her, so no matter what I'm sure they can find something to talk about.
