As you may have noticed, the DRAGOSTA MONTHLY MINGLE has just been posted (a day late, sorry guys) and features a faux soulmate AU prompt. Full information on that can be found in the mingle itself!

This post is here to be used for plotting for the Dragosta mingle and to ask any questions that players may have about how it all works. Feel free to post up a header with your character's plans, what you're interested in playing, or anything else, and check around for someone to play it out with!

I would totally love to do some soulmate stuff with any of mine!

Csevet is unlikely to try any of the potions but I'd be 100% down for him to get the 'other side' of whatever potion people want to try. I'm really interested in getting a few people he can have random hookups or be friends-with-benefits with, and I think this might allow making some CR for that? I play him gay though, so while I'll do the soulmate AU stuff with anyone, he'll only have interest in guys.

Sigrun will do whatever as long as it looks fun, especially after the rough time she's been having with the Exploration Log stuff. It's been rough. She's seen some shit. She'd like to kick back and have a good time and silly soulmate stuff would be perfect! I'm open to stupid matches for fun, or stuff that could lead to something more serious. She's open to any gender for anything, but no romantic or sexual CR with characters under 25.

Roy has one plan figured out already, but I am open to plotting one or two more if anyone wants him! He's willing to try out the potions because he's a professional hot mess, and I would love to build some more CR with him! Open to any gender, any age, but he's not likely to have actual romantic or sexual CR with anyone under 20.

She isn't interested in soulmates and tbh doesn't believe in them, so Breq isn't going to be actively trying out the potions. Also she will/can have them pressed on her by others without caring too much, which I am happy to use and abuse to generate silly encounters. Same with the kiss and tell prompt!

She won't be going on dates unless a third party decides to set her up on a blind one without telling her, but I'm down for working out something of the sort happening.

ICly, she's not interested in romance, and OOCly I'm more of a 'see how the CR develops type,' but I'm happy to plot out encounters for the holiday.

This guy here is a bit desperate to find a companion after all his brothers left and now he's living alone, so he'll buy at least one of each soulmate jars and try it on people who are willing to play along. If you want to make it an accident or something more fun let's plot it out!

He'll be also at the singles dance and open to smooch anyone in the kiss & tell prompt!

Natasha would not take any of these soulmate potions herself. She thinks it's silly and doesn't really believe in soulmates anyway. Which doesn't mean she can't get caught up in someone else's ride on the fake love train. All four potions are fine.

As for the singles dances, she's more likely to go in order to get free drinks and those vouchers. So it's less about romantic love and more about hooking up with someone easy and getting free stuff out of it. Priorities, she has them. So she'll connect with just about anyone. Sex is sex, and easily separated from emotions for her. Way easier to sell her on strangers for this, probably.

Similarly with the date night discounts, she'd absolutely use someone just to get the discount. You don't have to have feelings for someone to eat half price steak and chocolate.

The kiss and tell floating lights are a good way to force a conversation, particularly if she's got a reason to not want to kiss your character. Even if that's not the case, it's an easy short thread that would at least introduce the characters enough that running into one another later could create some more in depth CR.

Jack is a way easier sell on all of this. Anyone not describing Jack Harkness as a universal bicycle is someone who's never met the man. XD Not to mention, he wasn't here for this last year. So this is all new and fun for him. And he will sleep with almost anything. You have been warned.

Soulmate potions? Why not? Sounds fun. Exactly the kind of silly gimmicky thing that takes a person's mind off of whatever's been bothering them. He'd be interested in seeing if there's anything the people he gets linked up with have in common. So he'd use a bunch of these. Just for the hell of it. If you need someone to be the guy who gets your character caught up in this, Jack's good for that.

Singles dances are really just an average weekend night with the added bonus of a discount on dinner. He's down for all genders, all group sizes, all kinks, all the time. Ditto for the date night discounts if anyone wants to get to know people before jumping into bed with them. Who doesn't like a nice movie cuddle? He's also very big on aftercare. If it's wanted. This is the guy who will clean you up, change your sheets, and still be there in the morning to make you breakfast.

When it comes to the kiss and tell floating lights, he's got no clue what they are. So he'll be very easy to snag with one of those. He's also a lot more likely to stick around and keep talking to the person once the hold is broken.
