Hi everyone! This mod post is a heads-up regarding some concerns that have been brought to me surrounding the adult prompts at mingles and the red fireflies. No cut text, because this is very important.

It has been brought to my attention that there's been some mishandling of the various substances and facilitators of adult activity that have been included in the various mingles and the most recent test drive meme. As a result, I have decided to add a blanket no non-consensual sex rule to the rules/procedures page. I added it just a few minutes ago and it reads as follows:

● While the game is sex-positive, non-consensual sex should not be played on the communities. Mechanics in the game are not put in place to encourage sexual assault, or to 'trick' characters into having sex at adult events when those characters would not normally be participating.

There have been a few facilitators for adult content in a couple of the events, specifically the aphrodisiacs at Sampremi, the powder at the Flower Festival, and the red fireflies. For the most part things have been pretty smooth, but I wanted to clarify that anyone using these types of facilitators in future is responsible to read and follow the guidelines of the item/substance in question.

● Aphrodisiacs have been clearly noted and are always clearly labeled. Characters will not have aphrodisiacs sneakily or accidentally given to them.
● The powder at the Flower Festival (and at any rave or other party) was contained to clearly labeled rooms so they could not be entered by accident, and the powder was noted to not be able to affect people second-hand (non-effective as soon as the powder lands on a surface).
● The red fireflies amplify a character's feelings of arousal/desire, they do not cause a loss of inhibitions that would cause them to attack someone.

Basically, when you choose to use an adult prompt, be sure to read the guidelines and follow them. The guidelines are not optional. The adult prompts are intended to encourage characters to have consensual sex, not to facilitate non-consensual sex or to trick characters into having sex they would not normally have. Facilitating sexual assault and tricking characters into sex is both uncomfortable on an OOC level and does not make sense on an IC level at government-sanctioned events.
