mod post: some quick clarifications

Hi everyone! No real State of the Game post this month since there isn't much to update, but I have been noticing some confusion around a couple of topics, so I wanted to just do a quick post to clarify areas of confusion! I will be updating the Rules and Procedures page later on this evening after players have been given a chance to ask any additional questions.
what counts for activity check
Recently I've noticed a few people requesting strikes or struggling with Activity Check because they are backtagging on entries from previous months instead of posting on entries from the current month.
I just wanted to clarify - Riverview does not and has never required that AC be provided only from entries posted in the current month. As long as the comments themselves are from this month, the entry can be as old as two months.
Riverview was built to be choose-your-own-pace, and requiring that all activity be from brand new posts would not be in the spirit of that.
Additionally, AC can be provided in the following forms: 10 comments that are less than 150 words (the textspammy option), or; 5 comments that are more than 150 words (the tl;dr option). Comments provided for the tl;dr option do not have to be all in a row, they can be 5 comments from a thread of 8, for example.
I do, in cases of emergency, accept a combination of two threads maximum to pass AC, but that is only to avoid a strike. I do keep track of how often players do this, and if it's done too often (3+ times in the previous 5 months, for example) I may ask for stronger AC proofs from the players who've overused split AC, going forward.
disallowed content + content warnings
I thought this would be worth addressing as I've seen confusion crop up in response to a recent network post. To clarify:
● The only (currently) disallowed content is non-consensual sex and sex with underage (under-18) characters threaded in game canon. This includes all game communities, as well as the linked inboxes and Friendrs on the taken list.
● Taboo and complicated adult themes, including ones that are covered under disallowed content, are welcome to be touched on, mentioned, discussed, or otherwise played with. However, any threads that mention these sorts of topics MUST HAVE A CONTENT WARNING in the subject line so players who wish to avoid those topics are fully informed and empowered to avoid them.
● Topics that should be warned for are topics that are commonly related to abuse or trauma and include, but are not limited to: underage sex, childhood abuse, incest, sexual assault, drug use or alcohol abuse, extreme violence, suicidal ideation, etc. Please use your common sense, and if you think that maybe it should have a warning, do it. More warnings are better than not enough.
