Prompt iii: Homesick Bazaar
Tim had been looking for somewhere he could try to sit and process exactly what's happened to him over the past week? Weeks? Figuring out how long since the drone attack was a priority if he could, but based on how little information he had access to about Gotham it was increasingly unlikely. The communal housing was decent, fantastic even, for that sort of thing, but it was communal. He could deal with it, but it was also going to make him want to crawl out of his skin after the isolation of his previous displacement.
The hospital had patched up what he hadn't been able to solve with the first aid kit from his utility belt in his cell, the deeper cuts and gouges that hadn't healed much during his captivity, but his body was still aching, still stiff and abused. He wasn't going to be able to get any sleep jumping at strange roommates.
He finds himself in the bazaar. It's not quiet by any means, but it's more like city noise, easy to block out or filter through. The empty booth he slides into has a table filled with Batburger bags. He can't actually bring himself to open one and eat. Who knows what the grease will do to his stomach after what he's been eating recently? It's a bad idea all around.
He props his chin on one fist, elbow on the table, because Alfred isn't there to see, because he's not CEO Timothy Drake-Wayne, because no matter the transmutable qualities of fast food this isn't Gotham and no one is going to care. When he finally peeks in the top of a bag, he shouldn't be surprised it's the vegetarian option.
