[Unlike a certain blue-haired guy, Noiz had actually taken care to walk around with an umbrella to ward off the attention of creatures who might see him as a skinny, perfect to carry meal for the evening. He'd seen a few people get attacked by now, and while noone had gotten carried off yet, he'd barely cast the people a glance.
He didn't know them. He didn't care about them, they didn't need his help. And he doesn't run head-first into danger when there's absolutely no reason for it. He's not a charity worker, and he's definitely not a hero.
When he hears the unmistakable sound of someone else being grabbed and pecked at, he's entirely of the opinion of 'not his business, not his issue', but...
It's the voice that wakes up something strange in him. An instinct so unused that it's almost annoying at first--but no so much to keep his legs from moving as if they'd suddenly caught fire. It's the flash of blue hair that's all he needs to see before he's closing his own umbrella, and diving in to jam the pointed tip of it straight into the gut of the creature assaulting the other male.
Needless to say, the sheer force behind the action is enough to dislodge the creature from Aoba's hood. It flaps its wings with a screeching cry and a gnash of teeth, trying to re-assert its grip on one of the two males--but a second swing of his umbrella into the side of the thing's face is enough to send it reeling.
