● threading preferences: Normally I prefer log/action, and I default to brackets over prose, but I'm happy to match the person I'm threading with. Lately I've been doing way more network stuff than usual, though, so WHO KNOWS.
● threading habits: I'm in EST, and my availability is usually in the morning/early afternoon on weekdays. Evenings and weekends are a lot busier for me, so I'm not around as much. I do try to stay on top of things, and boomerang when I can, but I can also go through periods where I can't manage more than 1-2 tags a day. I'm always happy to backtag or handwave as necessary.
● about you: I tend to keep my plurk centered on RP/memes/fandom stuff, so all that's really relevant here is that Riverview's my only game, I'm big into movies (horror especially) and comics, and my main fandoms are Star Wars and Marvel. Feel free to add me!
ALSO AS A QUICK NOTE: This month's been totally kicking my ass, so I'm not starting any new threads/plots for the rest of the month, aside from things that have already been plotted. So anything we plot here probably won't happen until the beginning of June.

● occupation: Student Researcher at Gramarye Magic Research
● residence: Floor 1 of the communal housing building
● about: Maladjusted teen witch, occasionally murderous, addicted to magic, pretty obnoxious, kind of trying to sort of make friends or something. He's also a huge troll who loves getting a rise out of people.
● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: More slice of life and long-term character growth stuff, but he can also get in on action things, too.
● what plans you have for this character: WINGING IT. I don't have any plans yet, beyond him reaching out to other witchy types to ask them questions about their magic (which'll probably be his next network post, whenever he makes one). He's totally self-taught with his own, so he'd like to see what else is out there.
Also, found family is a huge thing I love playing with him. And he could use some more friends in his age group, too.
● shipping/smut preferences: Open to dudes ages 18 - 21. Chase has a strong preference for butch guys with killer biceps (cough wonder why). As far as long-term shipping goes, I don't want to commit to anything at the moment, but he'll happily hook up with guys his age on a casual/fwb basis.
● what your character wants: To feed his addiction to magic and become the most powerful witch of all time. He also wants to establish a life/future here, because he's pretty dead at home.
● what your character needs: Friends/found family! And to overcome his addiction to magic. And to learn how to be a functional human. Also guidance/mentorship, probably. His life's really been lacking in positive role models.
Also he really needs to come to terms with the fact that he's totally dead at home. It bothers him more than he cares to admit.

Dorian's never been a mentor, he's never even seen himself as someone someone else could look up to (he's still sort of young for that), but Dorian is a full-time researcher at Gramarye, and I think this would be a splendid way for them to meet, especially since Dorian is currently working on developing illusion magic that works with his form of magic.

Kylo Ren
● name: Kylo Ren (Ben Solo)
● age: 29
● occupation: Salvaging & Supplies Team Leader (Prometheus Labs)
● residence: right now he's living in a super sketchy motel but hey it beats being surrounded by ALL THE REBEL SCUM IN THE COMMUNAL HOUSING BUILDING
● about: Kylo's an angry overgrown child with too much power and fabulous hair. He's a Skywalker and a Solo, which means he was destined to be a dramatic disaster. Also he spent a good chunk of his life being targeted, groomed, and abused by his creepy Dark Side master, who he recently bisected with a lightsaber.
He's also a huge nerd underneath his COOL GOTHIC WARDROBE, takes after his father more than he'd ever admit, has serious anger management problems (which often lead to violence), and spent so long living like a space monk that he's weirdly sheltered in some respects, and thus has been branching out more while in Quarantine.
● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: ACTION. ADVENTURE. EXPLORATION. I also do love slice of life things, and am always happy to do them, though Kylo CAN be difficult to sustain in threads that don't have a direction planned. Mingles are tough for him, but one on one cr building can be great.
● what plans you have for this character: Recently, Kylo's committed to giving up the First Order and his galaxy to stay here, where he has the freedom to make a life that's truly his for the first time ever. After the Flower Festival, when he got to relive his youth for a bit and remember what it felt like to not be a totally broken person, he's slowly, tentatively entertaining the notion of redemption. It will either get derailed or pushed forward by some upcoming plots I have planned.
Also he's currently on a mission to loot a temple for Prometheus.
● shipping/smut preferences: He's single and up for shippy or smutty things! Largely inexperienced still, so don't expect Casanova here. Pansexual. Strong preference for characters ages 25+. However, for any shipping beyond casual/non-committal stuff, we absolutely have to communicate and plot it out OOC.
● what your character wants: To figure out what he wants to do with his life now that he's decided to free himself from his galaxy's battles. Oh and he also wants to rain death and destruction down on some of his enemies, SO HE'S STILL A HUGE DICK JSYK. He also desperately wants to be wanted by somebody. He's needy and has issues.
● what your character needs: Therapy and a nap and a sense of purpose.
