Hi everyone. I'm Karin, and I was here a little while ago with Admiral Holdo until, well, life. But I have returned, this time with Dr. Harry Goodsir from the AMC TV series The Terror (based on the Dan Simmons novel, but there's enough differences between the show and the novel that I'm specifically focusing on the show version).



Harry was an assistant surgeon on the Franklin Expedition, which all went horribly sideways between 1845 and 1848, and Harry comes to Riverview having met his maker, as it were (not really a spoiler, seeing as how literally everyone from the expedition is known to have died unpleasantly one way or another). He will be working at the hospital as the local coroner, as well as taking university classes to get his medical knowledge up to speed (including, among other things, this wonderful thing known as germ theory).

We've never actually 'met' in game, so here goes. I'm Robin, and we should have a thread between Harry and Elizabeth. She's from the movie version of Pride and Prejudice and zombies.

Hello! I think you came on board right around the time life was blowing up in my face, hence not meeting in game before. But yes, Harry and Elizabeth should definitely meet.

I adored The Terror TV series and only read the book after it was over; both are good, but there are a number of things in the book that I ... have strong negative opinions about, and which I think were vastly improved upon in the show. Particularly with regard to the female characters. So my rec of the book is with some reservations, but the TV show is awesome.

Amazon has it to buy, and I think you can stream it on AMC's web site if you have a login (for which it looks like you need a cable provider).

Absolutely up for keeping Keira and Harry's thread game canon—it's highly amusing. Also I'm a fan of Witcher 3, so it's always fun for me to see those characters pop up in RP-land.
