Just thinking of the many, many ways blood can try to leave Spike to get back to Cain. And the both painful and... embarrassing ways that can happen.

Although question is if Cain would be counted as nonhuman. Is it based on how Spike sees it, or?

It's not him. It's the chip. He punched Tara in the face to see if she had any demon in her and she didn't and it hurt him. The only 'human' he's been able to hurt with the chip in is Buffy, and that's after she came back from the dead. I don't even think he could hurt Dawn, and she was a celestial key (not that he tried). So half humans or demon hybrids or zombies or vampire (who used to be humans and now aren't) are all fair game. Just no human-humans. And that includes witches. From his world, at least, since they're not a species as much as a class.

Got it. Then we would need to get really esoteric here because genetically, Cain is regular regular human and so is his soul but it's also a pillar of the universe??? And made directly by gods so.

Genetically, Spike is a human with a little vampire in him. And Buffy's technically human too, so I think there can be a little leeway. He can still feed off people if they let him. He just can't physically hurt them knowing he's going to hurt them. Like, he pointed a gun at Xander and wound up in pain because he wanted to pull the trigger. So it's really about intent. Spike is a sad puppy, man.

But he fed off a dead girl and I'm still having to finish my rewatch, but I think he can feed if the person's into it and he's not intending to kill them (or maybe he can turn them, if they want it? idk. that's shady territory). So Cain could like, test him. Or give him blood. Or they could get in a fight. Or Spike could lick it off. Idk. He's weird.
