● threading preferences: I can do prose or brackets. I default to brackets out of habit, but my writing style is more prose anyway. Long or short tags are fine. I tend to do more logs than network threads, but that's also due to the kind of character I play.
● threading habits: Medium-paced now that I'm on summer break haha. I've been getting back to tags within a day, and oftentimes I tag the same thread multiple times a day.
● about you: I teach high school English, to explain why I play a weird literary character. My plurk features mostly rp babble and pictures of my cats.

● name: Quentin Compson
● age: 19
● occupation: None, although eventually he should perhaps go back to school
● residence: Communal Floor 10
● about: A sensitive and neurotic young man from turn-of-the-century Mississippi who is crushed beneath the rigid expectations of a patriarchal society that tries desperately to cling to the glory of the past, who loves above all else his sister and some romanticized notion of family honor that balances precariously on her lost virginity, and beyond that loves only death. His sister's fiance refers to him as a half-baked Galahad, and his college buddies tease him for being a good old country boy, one whom dogs and children seem inexplicably to take up with.
● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: I'm interested in the idea of displacement, bonding over having not belonged somewhere. Quentin is coming from a society, the post-Reconstruction South, that has essentially crumbled and is struggling to figure out how and where to move forward, and he's coming into a society that too needs to rebuild, so I think that has some interesting potential.
● what plans you have for this character: Right now I'm just dipping my feet in the water, trying out CR and seeing where it takes me.
● shipping/smut preferences: Quentin is obligated to be heterosexual, but good luck trying to get close to him because he has about a thousand hang-ups about women and sex.
● what your character wants: To just have his brain quiet down for a little while, honestly. Children and girls to worry after. People who have stories to tell.
● what your character needs: Help with a capital H. Someone who might listen to him, to whom he might eventually open up. Someone who can tell him he needs to Let It Go. He could use some help honing his fighting skills too; the kid's a wet noodle in a fist fight.
● any open post/ic inbox links: Nothing right now (I didn't put up a top level in the last log), but his IC inbox is right here if you want to check up on him. (I need to go back and make it pretty, don't I...)
● anything else: I'm sorry he is the way he is. I do have a Permissions Post, since Quentin as a character deals with some sensitive topics.
