● about: A bleeding heart who tries to pretend she's a tough-as-nails Judge aka totalitarian enforcer. This is sort of true and not all a fabrication, but she cares pretty deeply and has a lot of moral quandaries. Still no-bullshit fixated on her job, though. Also a telepath and empath (permissions in her journal).

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: I am actually not very good with action despite playing an action character, whelp. I would love to do stuff with her in her capacity as a cop-- she's neutral good pretending to be lawful neutral so she will bend the law for the right reasons, which is fun to play with with criminal sorts. Getting her acclimated to Normal Mundane Life is also a challenge I am enjoying.
● what plans you have for this character: I definitely would like to guide Anderson through some moral dilemmas and realizations that Mega-City One is not something she ever wants to return to. That's gonna be a long time coming, though.
● shipping/smut preferences: I would loooove to do something F/F with her but I would not say no to M/F with the right chemistry. She is expected not to date or sleep with anyone as a Judge, so that's a fun obstacle, too. She also has some gritty backstory and has dealt with reading the minds of a lot of scumbags picturing raping her, so anyone who would have difficulty with that being dealt with might want to look elsewhere.

● what your character wants: Time to acclimate. To keep her job and be good at it. Make some friends. She's a simple creature.
● what your character needs: Some people who will challenge her, push her, and not be horrible people. Someone who will accept her powers without being nervy about it, just, wholesale. And she actually does need friends.

● about: A homicide detective who worked for the LAPD. Satan himself decided to take up residence and LA and weaseled his way into her cases, and it stuck. She's got an 8-year old daughter who she loves dearly and is deeply devoted to her work. She comes across as a bit cold or standoffish at times due to her trust issues, but she's actually a very caring individual for people who get close to her.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: I'm open to pretty much anything at this point. Having her build on and make new CR is always the biggest draw to me, though I am also excited for the exploration aspects.
● what plans you have for this character: So, I recently bought her two new shiny powers with her bonus points. I plan for both of these to awaken sometime during the Don't Wake the Deity mission (which I am in the midst of plotting/getting a log ready, if people are still interested in joining in and/or want to discuss!) and for them to be lasting issues she deals with regarding control, figuring out where they came from, etc.

If anyone wants her to have a (very fractured) vision about their character, let me know and we could set something up post-deity mission (probably after the Masquerade event)! Or if anyone is psychically/magic-oriented and would enjoy having a new protege, hit me up as well, because she'll be going around asking a bunch of questions. Other than that, I'm hoping to get her involved with missions on the long-term, especially those that directly help other people. She's the kind of character where seeing visions or knowing there are people in need beyond the wall would motivate her to put herself out there more to try to grow stronger, which would be an interesting journey to play out with her considering she's been a staunch skeptic about magic and psychics and Devils up until recently.
● shipping/smut preferences: She's very much inlovevolved with Lucifer and with strengthening their current relationship and won't be reciprocating other romantic/sexual advances. Not that they can't try, but she's a taken lady.

● what your character wants: To go home. To see her daughter. To figure out her status as a 'miracle child' and what that means for her. To figure out wtf is going on in Riverview in general and the concept of alternate realities and timelines. To put away bad guys. To navigate her new relationship with her partner who happens to be the Devil himself. Oh, and to go home.
● what your character needs: A little of everything of the above, but mostly what she needs are friends. Maybe people to get her out of her shell and have her let loose a bit. Mostly I just really love the idea of found family stuff that would give her lasting ties to the city. As she's also going to be developing powers soon, she's going to need a mentor or someone to guide her in taking control of that.

● about: "Rather than a person who hurts others, become the person getting hurt. A kind person finds happiness in just that". This is what kaneki learned from his mother, and he follows this. he is incredibly kind, gentle, he is shy and also awkward, very quiet and doesn't speak his mind. Tends to be selfless, doesn't have much confidence in himself and sees himself as weak, but even so he is trying hard to become stronger in order to protect the ones he loves. AND THEN HE WAS TURNED INTO A GHOUL who are cannibal people basically and... that... sucks a lot. Kaneki hates that ghoul part, but above all, he is SCARED of the ghoul part. He has to balance the fact that he is now forced to do something terrible, and the fact that ghouls aren't not monsters. Kaneki's life is full of suffering.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: I wish to focus on CR building and character development. Kaneki is introvert, has a very hard time getting close to people despite being nice to everyone and so I want him to meet others he can talk to, feel close to and be with. because Kaneki without people to rely on is like someone spiraling down he is terrible at being alone.
● what plans you have for this character: I'm open to having people figuring out what kaneki is, eventually. This month during the memory plot, Kaneki will bite Tsumugi and I'm open for situations like this to eventually happen. it'll need a bit of discussion and plotting first, but I'm finally past the secrecy phase, if anyone wants to plot anything with that!
● shipping/smut preferences: I'm fine with it! But please be gentle, Kaneki's first and last date tried to literally eat him.

● what your character wants: He really just wants friends and not be a freak. He is in a situation where he IS a freak and he hates himself. So he also wants to keep that well hidden.
● what your character needs: He really needs someone to get him to open up. Kaneki is never actually truthful about what he feels, what he thinks. He keeps all of that locked away because he can't bother others and he lacks self-esteem in every way. He has a lot of issues that he doesn't tackle down, he is incapable of making choices or even saying "no". Kaneki is easily manipulated and makes some bad choices in life; I'm 100% okay with someone making use of that, but he really needs someone that he can rely on.

Regene's probably not the best person in the world for getting emotionally touchy feely with - anyone, never mind especially sensitive folk, but he's mostly got good intentions and I think that could be interesting here. Someone who uses manipulative tactics for almost everything simply out of habit and someone who probably wouldn't appear to offer very much justification for them. Could lead to cool growth on both sides or disaster.

● about: Will is from post Season 3 episode 13 for those of you who know the canon, so he's pretty broken, sassy and resigned to his inexorable tie to Hannibal. Will is at his core a decent man who is locked in constant struggle with his dark side. His dark side, which has been fed for years by his ability to empathize with anyone, but particularly with serial killers. Hence why he's a top FBI profiler, despite being thoroughly documented as an unstable mind.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: Exploration and the Monsters. He also appears to be developing connections with some of the more morally grey characters in the game, which is WONDERFUL!
● what plans you have for this character: Exploration stuff and also character study. He's got a lot on his mind, given the decisions he's recently made before coming to Riverview. So I'd love opportunities to explore more of that and those types of conversations.
● shipping/smut preferences: For me as a writer it works best when it comes about organically through character interactions. So I am always open to the prospect but I can't promise something OOC if the characters won't cooperate.

● what your character needs: Hannibal Yeah he still doesn't know. This is where I am allowing his in game interactions and experiences to guide his development.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: I am here for the missions and action stuff, and also for great bonding and strengthening CR of all kinds - platonic or otherwise. Mostly platonic. He's emotionally constipated. Anyway I'd love to have him working with other people on the guard, or getting to know non-guard people outside of work. Pls someone make him have fun, maybe drag him out of the depressive spiral he's edging toward.
● what plans you have for this character: I have nothing too specific going on. He's finding himself in a position to mentor Russian teenagers, so he's got that going on for him, and he's dealing with his friends' dramas, but he doesn't have much of his own shit happening at the mo. Come get bonding pancakes with him or something.
● shipping/smut preferences: You can try but he's largely emotionally unavailable. I generally play him as loosely bi, in that the gender of his partner doesn't matter as much as the trust level and how he feels about them. He's a bit of a romantic and not really into casual sex.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: For Yuffie I'm most interested in outside of the city and the area beyond. Monsters don't really scare her. Also developing CR and making something like the rag-tag little family she had in canon.
● what plans you have for this character: My plans are for her to go out more. Fight things and discover things. I'd like to get her on missions and plan stupid/dangerous shit to pull people into. I like making things fun and accessible for anyone interested in her shenanigans. She's also looking for materia and might one day open up a shop. You know, when she learns how to share. She's trying to curb her stealing habits and has been trying to do this for a while now but it's hard. She's been a thief since she was 13.

● what plans you have for this character: Dick is interested in finding non-lethal solutions to the monster problem and figuring out how to track them more effectively in the wild, and I’d love to do more with that in terms of developing plots and missions. He’s a collaborator and a team builder so if your characters are working on similar/complimentary things HMU and we can develop some CR!

Also COP CAST if you play a cop/agent/government employee of any kind I would love more coworker CR! Whether that’s just broing occasionally on stakeouts or us working out some more actiony police plots we could all participate in. Dick will be making detective at some point and I’d also be super interested in finding him an IC partner if anyone is interested in this. He will take care of you and love you and be your friend forever. That’s it, that’s the perk. No previous CR is necessary.

● shipping/smut preferences: It's Complicated atm so serious new developments are probably off the table for the time being. Feel free to flirt with him or crush on him though if your characters lean that way.

● what your character wants: To explore the world around the city, to understand the portal, to go home.
● what your character needs: Friendships, found family, people to care about and take care of, also people able to step in and take care of him once in a while because he is a stealth basket case with maybe 10% as much shit together as he pretends to have. He will tend to swoop in on guarded types and/or anyone he has reason to believe is in need of support/friendship/affection, and for the sake of his sanity I would love to work towards adding more CR to his currently very exclusive In The Know club for superhero stuff. Negative CR is also welcome, please challenge his limited self awareness and absolute commitment to unattainable ideals.

He is always drunk, high and snarky. Oh, and thanks to him there's a brand of drugs going around that are effectively bottled emotions that can be injected or drunk for an hour's worth of anger, sadness or whatever you want. If you ask around about him, almost everyone will have some sort of story about what he's done to them or someone they know.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: Honestly I'm having fun with his criminal slice-of-life plots... but I really wouldn't mind getting him more involved in missions.
● what plans you have for this character: In the near future he's going to be turned in to the police force, and placed on house arrest in the communal hall. Still trying to decide who should be in charge of deciding when he's ready to be let out of that, but it'll be a player character in the police or perimeter guard who makes that choice and he's got a lot of enemies there. Otherwise, he's selling drugs to whoever will take them and looking for help with producing them. And if he sniffs out anyone else with a criminal past and few regrets, he'll be happy to take them on. There are some efforts being made to make him a better person, but... it'll take a while to counteract 17 years of being the worst person alive.
● shipping/smut preferences: Dodger has a few romantic ties happening right now, but that won't stop him from seeking out others. He's bisexual, with a slight preference for men, and no preference whatsoever for species as long as they're sentient and humanoid (ie aliens, monsters and furries are chill to him). He is not monogamous by any means, and is happy to cheat on anyone who's under the impression he's loyal to them. I prefer playing out smut threads, but will be happy to fade to black if the other person's not into it, and will never play non-con threads on the comm or count them as canon. HOWEVER: Dodger has raped people in the past, and may threaten characters now. I don't plan to ever let him succeed, but if the threat makes you uncomfortable, just let me know and I won't let it happen in a thread with you. It should also be mentioned that he's not opposed to cracking homophobic/transphobic/racist/sexist comments even with people he's attached to.

To have enough information on everyone in the city that they won't be able to report him to the authorities for fear of having their secrets leaked or loved ones harmed. ● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: Putting him in a setting where he has to socialize with others -- and not just people from his world but other worlds and on a planet he isn't familiar with and can't just leave. I'm also kinda shipper trash but that's secondary to why I apped him.
● what plans you have for this character: To eventually get over himself and open up a bit more. To allow himself to connect with others instead of pushing them away or closing himself off. He knows he has a job to do as protector of the Earth but that doesn't necessarily mean a solitary life. Basically, he needs to find that middle ground.
● shipping/smut preferences: I play him as leaning more towards women sexually and romantically but I think he'd be open to guys provided there is enough chemistry and good will there. (There is no such thing as "hate fucking" with him. If he doesn't like you, that dislike is all you will get.)

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: A more "normal" life than he ever had back home, really! The strange things about this place will keep it exciting, which is good but the main thing is that he's no longer living in a tight circle of his own kind and working against nearly all of them, while also spinning plots around other people who have their own agendas so that he can use them toward his ends. Hell, he's never had a real job. He's never had a real friend. There is so much for him to learn.
● what plans you have for this character: I don't have major plot for him yet, mostly character interactions and that sort of thing. He's so new that it probably makes sense, still finding his feet!
● shipping/smut preferences: I would welcome anything on this front, with the reminder that he has almost no capacity for trust at this point. He can take a shine to someone, grow fond of them, find them attractive, but any attempt at an actual relationship will be a catastrophe until he learns a way of interacting that isn't based in manipulation and suspicion. As far as orientation goes, gender is nearly meaningless to Innovades (even Regene's type, who aren't completely agender like the others) so I can't imagine it'd even occur to him.

I have concerns he won't survive it that may or may not be unfounded, but that's why he's here.

He's still a good person and a strong advocate for justice, but he does come off harsher and more tactical, which has a lot to do with his experiences. Currently he's more recently back from the (almost) dead and is still adjusting to finding his place in the changes that have happened around him.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: I like action stuff, so monster fighting and missions are something I'd like to do with him. I'm also a fan of anything that helps build up his CR. Character growth!!
● what plans you have for this character: My goal is to work Steve back into a position where he can make friends and be more open. Eventually I want him comfortable enough to take up the shield again, but that's more of a long term goal. Currently, my plans are just getting him on his feet and working on his CR stuff.

● threading preferences: I have a mild preference for logs over brackets, simply because brackets are more difficult to type with my obnoxiusly tiny fingers. I have the add-on but forget to use it like 70% of the time, between my mouse being a pain and just being used to not having it, yet.

I don't really have much of a preference, I tend to do prose for logs and action brackets for network stuff - but I also tend to match style so it is basically whatever. My tags are longer in logs, I do not expect others to match that for any reason, and it does mean that they tend to take longer than network comments.

● threading habits: I like to boomerang, but I suffer migraines, have sleep issues and work is unpredictable so I at least try to clear my inbox once or twice a day but sometimes it might be a day or two between tags.

● about you: I am pretty boring tbh. I used to work as a crossing guard, and I sold my soul to Blockbuster for 8 years, so I have a lot of movies. I'm a music fanatic, and always open to rec's. I petsit for a living and have a dog, so if you add me on plurk you'll get animal pics. That's about the height of my excitement. I try to keep my RP plurk on point, but sometimes I will talk about work or health in how it might relate to tagging (I have a migraine, tagging not happening atm etc.) I don't really talk about gender stuff on my RP plurk but I'm not entirely shy about it if it comes up. I might also talk about fandom stuff sometimes, OCs or characters I used to play - but for the most part I try to stay on topic unless there's a misfire and I forgot where I was logged in. I try to keep my personal plurk to a pretty small audience, because more serious stuff like family and health drama comes up there, it's mostly people I've already known 8+ years.

The short of it: Ed is rather mellow and laid back, he's older and not as quick to jump to the defensive as his canon counterparts. Having been in this sort of situation before (strange new unknown world) he is one to help out when he can, but considering the new environment and his natural tendency to self-preservation he's being very cautious about it for now. He's keeping an eye on anyone he recognizes from previous worlds, even if just to try to stay away from their bad side, but overall he's a well meaning trustworthy person who has a tendency to make other people's business his own. He doesn't necessarily open up or trust easy, but he's quick to make friends and was frequently looked up to or put "in charge" a lot when shit hit the fan previously.

Ed's pretty handy, repairs and making shit out of thin air are totally his thing.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: Personal relationships, mostly. Communal Floor Six Shenanigans, etc.
I like to get him involved with people so I put him into situations where there are more people for that reason. Communal housing, helping around where he's probably not needed on the Perimeter Guard, offering to do repairs for total strangers, that sort of thing.

Ed's here for the ties that develop from the circumstances he's put into. I'm not really a slice of life type, so I tend to find him more to do that's plot related or action based but I also have no confidence whatsoever in my action tags so he kind of just hangs in the middle, doing a little of everything tbh.

He will be getting himself into all sorts of things, between research, exploring this place, missions that come up and just over plot events in general. This is also still a thing that's doing if anyone wants to get in on it. If you're character wouldn't go without an IC invitation as an excuse, we have one here for you.

● what plans you have for this character: Ed and Chloe are leading a research/exploration team in finding out more about the quarantine. The city they're in, the abandoned outer city, and the moon itself. Ed is always open to new CR that would be interested in research or going out to make new discoveries. There will be an opportunity about once a month to join in on an adventure regarding these things, so characters interested can hit me up any time.

They are also planning to wreck that deity plot, we have a bit of a group formed already but any additional interest should be posted to this thread. Ed will be making a network post and Chloe will be putting up a log so if you have an interest let one of us know! We're planning a group plurk to discuss things within the next week, feel free to add me on plurk if you want in on that.

Yuffie's also dragging him to the masq, he's going to help with Sycamore's mission and the amnesia plot is going to lead to a much calmer, happier seeming Elric for a week or so. Also, lots of stuff with Al because obviously, and Ed needing to get over some things because he's on a guilt trip a mile long. I think that's it?

● what your character wants: To figure out if this place is what it says on the tin. Research, exploring, adventure etc. Selfishly, also for Al not to go home, but you know how that works.

● what your character needs: Sparring partners, to find more people with prosthesis so he can stop being a paranoid mess about his own, to learn about the 900 mechanics and engineers this game has, actual friends... He'll totally relax if he figures this actually isn't some crazy new trap, and actually focus on making friends and living here since that's something he learned to do in Purg before being uprooted in the first place. Clearly also to make friends with more people with pokemon, so he feels less like an outlier over that. And of course, everything stated above. He might also need someone to suggest maybe not wearing the same outfit everyday, but who knows.

As it stands, he's kinda diet evil (only one calorie; not quite evil enough): he struggles with conflicting impulses, with issues caused both by his upbringing and his essential nature. His moral compass isn't entirely broken, but it's not that functional, either. He's defensive, vengeful, distrustful, and fearful--though he tries hard to present himself as otherwise.
● what plans you have for this character: So! I actually just had a mission idea & cleared it with the mod, but I need to write it up more formally. It centers on the ruins of abandoned (POSSIBLY) cultist compound and the artifacts within, artifacts which have recently become active after some years of dormancy. They are ostensibly driving the local environs mad, down to the most innocent of squirrels. It warrants investigation! We're gonna need a team.

Rin is also probably going to poison Widowmaker for mocking him. Just a little bit.
