Hi all! I'm Mark, and I'm new to around these parts.

I'll be bringing in Odo from Star Trek Deep Space Nine. He is hard on the outside, gooey on the inside. literally. Odo is a Changeling and will be joining the police force. He will be thrilled to be housed in Communal Housing; Floor 8, Bed 8 being the true social butterfly that he is. I look forward to meeting his coworkers and roommates. I believe there is a CR meme coming up, so more details about this complicated guy coming up then.

Just a head's up - I will be having surgery next week. My plan is to be quite active this weekend, then play it by ear as to when I can hop back onto a keyboard without dying. I'm guessing at least a week. That said, I am v. happy to be joining you.

Welcome to Riverview! I'm Rose, I play Cisco from The Flash but I adore DS9 and Odo! Cisco designs and makes tech and gear for the emergency services, including the police, so he and Odo should definitely run into one another! :D

Thanks! I am not familiar with his canon, but I look forward to the CR all the same! I'm sure there's some technobabble piece of equipment that Odo will want at some point. Who knows if it can be made but /shrug!

It's a silly superhero show but I love it 😅. Cisco's not entirely dissimilar to Bashir - young, very enthusiastic, a genius, deeply nerdy, issues w his family, wants very badly to be everybody's friend. There are also some pretty big differences too, but if I were gonna compare him to anybody on DS9 they're the most alike...

I'm sure we can come up with some kind of technobabble thing for him, yes!

I'll keep him in mind if Odo ever needs something weird on the job.

It is! It's short for Francisco (I have a .... very unoriginal username for this account) so it's pronounced like you would the last syllable in San Francisco. Or indeed like Sisko. 😂

Odo's pretty good at reading people, so after the initial hurdles of "well, he's a kid..." he'll be onto him quick enough.
