● age: Uh, "discovered" about 38 years ago?
● occupation: In game, he will be on the police force - hopefully moving up to detective in a little while.

Trying to sum him up in a paragraph is challenging, but I will try to hit main points.
He is a Changeling, so he can take the forms of various objects / animals with varying degrees of success. It also means he has to regenerate / revert back to his liquid form once every 16 hours.
Outwardly he comes off as a curmudgeon, and only interested in justice and order. Social gatherings are NOT his thing, and he is a very private person. That said, inside he is quite a sensitive man, and takes things to heart. He is kind to children and sympathetic to those in an institutionalized or "trapped" situation.
At his canon point he has made some progress with social skills and being less of a grump, however being shoved into a new environment will likely cause some of that to regress as a defense mechanism.
He has real identity / belonging issues, because for a long time he didn't even know what he was, and wasn't being treated as a sentient life form. (To be fair, he was a pile of goo at the time.) After actually finding his people, he found out that they are asshats and doesn't want anything to do with them... except that he does. Because it's home to be with them in the link.
Because of this he also tends to cling to being security chief as part of his identity rather than just a job.
● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: To be honest I just went for a "do your own thing" game, but I'm interested in getting him to a point where he feels invested in the community. He's obviously not there yet and it might take a while. I think given time, he might learn to be more accepting of being here.
● what plans you have for this character: He's new, so right now I have little planned, but I have a couple of thoughts for the future - one of which has to do with the fact that he's actually infected with a virus that was meant to kill changelings. At his canon point he is unaware that he has it. Could be fun to mess around with that in some way or another.
● shipping/smut preferences: I'm not really into playing out smut. As for shipping, he canonically is in a relationship with Kira Nerys at his canon point. I play him as asexual but romantic. If for any reason he could get over Kira, I am open to cross canon shipping options if it feels right.
● what your character wants: Right now he wants to know what happened to pull him here (like, scientifically - also he doesn't take what he was told at face value.) and to find a way to return to DS9. As a "default," Odo will always want to keep things orderly. He will also be clinging to his job a bit to cope with the situation.
● what your character needs: He needs friends. People who can tolerate his grump and sarcasm and stick-up-his-butt to see what's beyond the surface. People who he can eventually feel safe being vulnerable around.
● any open post/ic inbox links: Open Entry, IC inbox - still working on making the IC inbox pretty.
● anything else: OK SO HIS ICONS SUCK A BIT - because they changed Odo's masks in style every 2 seasons or something. So even if he's from 7th seasons, I still have some older season icons. Just pretend it's all the same looking mmkay? (also ds9 is not available in HD so... yeah that's an icon challenge.)

Also if you're looking to get Odo involved in the community, next month Bill and some others are organizing a big charity event for volunteering with the community centres in Riverview.

Not sure if Odo would be into the charity and volunteering thing for the community's sake, but if he got wind of the event he probably would anticipate a certain level of chaos requiring some security on hand, so it might be a way to get him involved.

I can't really offer friendship with Ronan as they will probably not get along. Ronan does everything he can to silently scream "I am a dangerous person," acts shady by sneaking out at night to protect people from his dream powers, and is generally chaotic and aggressive. On the other hand they're both grumpy orphans and Ronan has a soft spot for kids and animals (he's almost always with his pet raven). So I'm not so sure they'd be friends so much as either hate or semi-tolerate each other but I wouldn't mind seeing them interact or have Odo harass them repeatedly. I know that's not everyone's thing so it's cool or not.
Also just to repeat: so cool to see Odo.

I'm starting to get nervous lolI don't know anything about his canon so I can't say exactly how things would go. Giving off a "I am a dangerous person" vibe and acting shady is certain to ring some of Odo's alarms, so there would def be some attention given if nothing else. I'd totally be up for just having them encounter and see what happens naturally.
Does Ronan ever get into trouble with the police?

Ronan hasn't gotten in trouble with the police in Riverview as he's done some growing up. He had a lot of speeding tickets at home and almost got jailed for
beating updefending his friend from his abusive father but that's it. Most of his crimes were petty and involved speeding and underage drinking if you don't count fighting his older brother. None of that is exactly public record.no subject
Sounds like it's a "push them together and see what happens" situation would be the best approach. I have an open post at the moment, or we could just try to hop on each other's posts / promts when we can.
You mentioned a raven - if it helps any, Odo was just a bird in his open post? Not sure if there's a connection with birds with your character or not.
His vibes would attract Odo's attention at the very lest.

Anyway, I have this psychopathic and very clever Viking teenager who can't walk. It's a wonder he hasn't been arrested yet for half the crap he gets up to. Expect him to stare at Odo quite a bit because bro, what is up with your face?

I am sooooo behind in Vikings, I think I left off at S3. Maybe I'll do a rewatch soon.
I just took a look at your app to get a feel for your character and I have to say he sounds really interesting and I would love Odo to interact with him somehow. If he gets into trouble with the law that is a very good reason to get them started.
