● threading preferences: I have a mild preference for prose over brackets, simply because brackets are more difficult to type with my obnoxiously tiny fingers. I don't treat them any different, tbh. I have no preference for past/present tense, I don't care if it's prose or brackets.
I tend to do prose for logs and action brackets for network stuff - but I also tend to match style so it is basically whatever. My tags tend to be longer in logs, I do not expect others to match that for any reason, and it does mean that they can take longer than network comments.
● threading habits: I am currently super behind, but normally I like to clear my inbox about once a day. I tend to only boomerang with Australians, because what is time. Peak threading time: 3-5 am EST.
● about you: I am pretty boring tbh. I'm a music fanatic, and always open to rec's. I petsit for a living and have a dog, so if you add me on plurk you'll get animal pics. That's about the height of my excitement. I usually only post RP/fandom related things on my RP plurk when I can help it.

● age: 21, now appears 18 due to canon update this month.
● occupation: He does a few things with the Perimeter Guard and offers freelance repairs. He and Al are re-opening his old repair shop which was part of The General in his first game.
● residence: Floor Six, Communal Housing. Bed 5, specifically. Plans to expand the General Store and move into the building are in the works but nothing finalized.
● about: long version.

The short of it: Ed is rather mellow and laid back, he's older and not as quick to jump to the defensive as his canon counterparts. Having been in this sort of situation before (strange new unknown world) he is one to help out when he can, but considering the new environment and his natural tendency to self-preservation he's being very cautious about it for now. He's keeping an eye on anyone he recognizes from previous worlds, even if just to try to stay away from their bad side, but overall he's a well meaning trustworthy person who has a tendency to make other people's business his own. He doesn't necessarily open up or trust easy, but he's quick to make friends and was frequently looked up to or put "in charge" a lot when shit hit the fan previously.
Ed's pretty handy, repairs and making shit out of thin air are totally his thing.
● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: Personal relationships, mostly. I'd like to get him involved more with co-workers and people who need repairs, also people into talking about other worlds comparatively.
He will be getting himself into all sorts of things, between research, exploring this place, missions that come up and just over plot events in general.
● what plans you have for this character: Ed is always open to new CR that would be interested in research and/or exploration. There will be opportunities to join in on an adventure regarding these things, so characters interested can hit me up any time. I originally had something slated once a month, but as the game progresses that looks less realistic to pull off so things will happen if and when there's interest.
Ed and Al are in the process of expanding the General Store into the property next door, which they're going to convert into an apartment for themselves.
● shipping/smut preferences: Still hung up on a character from a previous game, which he's basically been forced to acknowledge all of September.
● what your character wants: He's trying to make a home for himself here, research and working on getting to know the place better etc. Making friends with people who don't want to go home because he's sick of losing people, that sort of thing. Just trying to feel normal now that he's settling in a bit.
● what your character needs: Sparring partners, to find more people with prosthesis so he can stop being a paranoid mess about his own, to learn about the 900 mechanics and engineers this game has, actual friends... And of course, everything stated above.
● any open post/ic inbox links: IC Contact/Friendr, great if you need him to alchemy anything. He's going to at least pretend it's not useful for anything else, but feel free to hit him up anyway.
● anything else: Ed looks 18 now, so I don't have to keep pointing out he looks older than his icons could feasibly portray.
