● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: At the moment he's just settling in and learning there was a version of him here before. He's not sure yet if that means that person was a different him or if he's forgotten being here. For previous CR that's interested (and I understand if you're not!) I'd love to play out some Dealing With That kind of thing. He's also going to be very interested in exploration and in trying to find out if these moon people are Up To Something.
● what plans you have for this character: Just feeling my way into things and building CR at the moment! If he were back in his world, he would be throwing himself into Resistance activities, but since he's here, he's going to be forced to confront a lot more of his baggage--specifically torture and the annihilation of the Hosnian system.
● shipping/smut preferences: I play Poe as "whocaresexual," but in my interpretation he's also pretty married to the Resistance. Getting him into a committed relationship would have to happen slowly and kinda sneak up on him, and he would balk at the realization that it's happening. There's a lot of reasons for it, but one in particular is the fact that he lost his mom when he was eight, and the impact that had on his dad has never left him. He doesn't want to leave someone behind, and he knows there's no guarantee that he'll live to see the victory of the Resistance (because they will win okok). In terms of smut, I don't write much of it, but I don't mind it! Poe is far more likely to be sexually involved with someone and stay friends/friends with benefits than he is to seek a deeper romantic relationship.

In essence, Jon is a very good person with a violent temper, an independent streak, and a tendency to brood. He's risen from a stigmatized position to kingship, mostly on personal merit, and he tries to use his power to help people. He's brave, kind, humble... and a total murder machine when he has a sword in his hand.

He's one of the main protagonists of Game of Thrones, which is a canon that depicts a really complicated political and military situation in seven distinct kingdoms that have been united into one nation. The overall flavor is "medieval Western Europe."

He believes himself to be the bastard son of a nobleman, never quite felt like part of his own family, and has dealt with a lot of internalized shame as a result. Much of that family has died or been scattered in a series of civil wars. He stayed out of that by joining a celibate military order of border guards at a really young age in an attempt to prove his own worthiness.

Over the years, he learns to humanize people who have been dehumanized, make allies out of enemies, and that the real enemy is an army of nearly invincible ice zombies. He's eventually able to leave the military order (due to being murdered and resurrected), fights to get his family's home back, becomes king of one of the Seven Kingdoms, and tries desperately to prepare everyone to fight the Army of the Dead. In the course of this, he meets a woman his own age who has a birthright claim to the throne of all seven kingdoms, and falls in love with her.

At his pull point, they were on their way to fight against the Dead together.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: All of them, but probably a mixture of exploration/fighting and SOL!
● what plans you have for this character: I'd like for him to make a lot of friends and do his job well. I haven't been in the game with him long enough to have any more extensive ideas.

● what your character wants: Brotherhood, proxy sisters, people he can mentor, people who can teach him about life in Riverview, etc.
● what your character needs: Definitely people who can teach him about life in Riverview. There are so many things he doesn't understand because they don't exist in the pan-medieval world of his canon. He's pretty bright; he should catch on quickly.
It might also be cool to meet other people who have dealt with things like zombies, demons, being dead, witches, magic, dragons, etc. Really, I'm open to most things except relentless pointless antagonism.

He was top of his class and looked like a promising future officer, but they had a bad run at training any the sympathy or empathy out of him, ever, so. He kinda took the bull by the horns on defecting bc Murdering Innocent People Isn't Cool.

What we have here is a usually-stressed, not super trusting, argumentative, but very kindhearted guy, who also has a habit of reaching for people's hands without thinking much about it and trying to help them when they seem to need it. He's team-oriented and super devoted to anyone he considers a friend! Probably thinks all of your characters are a little crazy. He might need some time in-game to kinda thaw out on having fun, but I'm sure he's gotta get there sometime.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: I'm interested in multiple fronts, I think. On one hand, missions and exploration and getting to put his skills to work has a huge appeal for me, and I'd love to get him involved in things like that! I'm also very interested in the downtime stuff-- letting him make friends and get better at trusting people, figure out stuff that he likes, etc.
● what plans you have for this character: NONE YET SON COME AT ME. He's just catching up with his two from-home friends, being suspicious of this entire moon. nbd.
● shipping/smut preferences: i don't think he's likely to be in the market for romance anytime soon? he's got a lot of Stuff to deal with. but no particular preferences. i'm not much for smut threading but okay with handwaving/etc. if it comes up.

● what plans you have for this character: With his job on the Wall R&D Unit and his field experience, he's in a great position to start looking into some exploration and missions. He's going to be throwing himself into work to stave off the inevitable nervous breakdown he's going to have as soon as he stops to think about all the stuff he's been through in Atlantis, so expect some hare-brained schemes to do the impossible.

Daenerys Targaryen • Game of Thrones

Dany is a protagonist in the book & tv series Game of Thrones. She's the last of a ruling dynasty that's gone extinct through a bad combination of civil war, madness and general greed. Her family was ousted from their rulership of the Seven Kingdoms after her father thought it was a great idea to burn one of his lords paramount and his heir in front of his court, and then to go on and try to set his entire capital on fire. Dany was born an orphan, and grew up on the run, always a step ahead of assassins and living either homeless or on the dime of people ""loyal"" to her family. (Or what her family could do for them if they were restored to power.)

At roughly 16, Dany was a meek girl, abused and molested on the regular by her brother. (This was normalized in her mind by the expectation that she might wed him.) She wasn't, though; she was sold off to a Dothraki horselord, comparable to the like of Genghis Khan. She changed and grew over time, as her marriage began miserably; to turn things to her advantage. By the time she lost her husband and son, the meek girl she'd been was gone. In her place is a woman who frankly has a terrible temper, moreso because it can manifest in ways which are frankly stone cold.

She's also an idealist, having gone onto free an entire peninsula's worth of slaves before finally sailing for Westeros. In the last city, she really learned how (not) to rule. In everything she does, Dany believes that she's right and just, and that by the sheer force of her will, things can and will go her way. That's a belief which has begun to be deconstructed since she's set sail for Westeros, and lost 98% of her allies, been isolated for her forces and seen one of her three dragons taken down with ridiculous ease.

And she relies less on the counsel of her Hand, and more on herself, and occasionally her King in the North, Jon Snow. Meeting him has tempered her more impulsive tendencies, unless his life is at stake and given her a glimpse into how it feels to be truly valued for herself; not simply her status, name, dragons or power.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: Networking and building allies through her job at the moment! Though she'll want to explore and maybe suggest expanding the city at some point if/when it's safe. Can't quite snuff out the conqueror in her.
● what plans you have for this character: She's brand new, so just gaining CR.
● shipping/smut preferences: Dany's already in a very, very committed relationship with Jon Snow/northerndragon.

● what your character wants: To burn everything — nah, to get her dragons back, maybe mother-hen some kids, and generally find a way home, people who can teach her things.
● what your character needs: Female friends, dear god. Missandei's not here, and she mainly had a sausage fest surrounding her on Dragonstone. People who can teach her about technology and other languages and history, because her hodgepodge of an education is a sore spot for her. ● threading preferences: I tend to do prose for logs and action brackets for network stuff - but I also tend to match style so it is basically whatever.

Ed's a CRAU, so he comes with a handy Info and Permissions/Opt out Post.

The short of it: Ed is rather mellow and laid back, he's older and not as quick to jump to the defensive as his canon counterparts. Having been in this sort of situation before (strange new unknown world) he is one to help out when he can, but considering the new environment and his natural tendency to self-preservation he's being very cautious about it for now. He's keeping an eye on anyone he recognizes from previous worlds, even if just to try to stay away from their bad side, but overall he's a well meaning trustworthy person who has a tendency to make other people's business his own. He doesn't necessarily open up or trust easy, but he's quick to make friends and was frequently looked up to or put "in charge" a lot when shit hit the fan previously.

He's of the 2003 anime variety if you're canon familiar.

Ed's pretty handy, repairs and making shit out of thin air are totally his thing.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: Personal relationships, mostly. I'd like to get him involved more with co-workers and people who need repairs, also people into talking about other worlds comparatively. He needs to make more friends and branch out more.

He will be getting himself into all sorts of things, between research, exploring this place, missions that come up and just over plot events in general.

● what plans you have for this character: Ed is always open to new CR especially those that would be interested in research and/or exploration. There will be opportunities to join in on an adventure regarding these things, so characters interested can hit me up any time. I originally had something slated once a month, but as the game progresses that looks less realistic to pull off so things will happen if and when there's interest.

Ed and Al are in the process of expanding the General Store into the property next door, which they're going to convert into an apartment for themselves. As previous game-mates have since joined game this plan has since been changed to converting a number of stores into a much larger space for all of them to move into.

He is a Changeling, so he can take the forms of various objects / animals with varying degrees of success. It also means he has to regenerate / revert back to his liquid form once every 16 hours.

Outwardly he comes off as a grump, and only interested in justice and order.

Social gatherings are NOT his thing, and he is a very private person. That said, inside he is quite a sensitive man, and takes things to heart. He is kind to children and sympathetic to those in an institutionalized or "trapped" situation.

At his canon point he has made some progress with social skills and being less of a grump, however being shoved into a new environment will likely cause some of that to regress as a defense mechanism.

He has real identity / belonging issues, because for a long time he didn't even know what he was, and wasn't being treated as a sentient life form. (To be fair, he was a pile of goo at the time.) After actually finding his people, he found out that they are asshats and doesn't want anything to do with them... except that he does. Because it's home to be with them in the link.

Because of this he also tends to cling to being security chief as part of his identity rather than just a job.
It will take a while to form friendships here before he can be more open about his inner thoughts and vulnerabilities.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: I would like him to be able to do his police work / detective work. Slice of life is a little hard to pull off with him because he does not want to have a life but in time I would like him to get more willing to be here and I think that will be easier then.

● what plans you have for this character: Nothing too special at the current time. He’s still adjusting. CR making is the focus, with the ultimate goal of having friendships where he can feel comfortable.

However I might have something fun for the future. Odo is unaware he is infected with a Morphogenic virus. It’s going to be months before he manifests symptoms, but it would be good to have some medical/doctor/healer friends for when the time comes.

As for shipping, he canonically is in a relationship with Kira Nerys at his canon point. I play him as asexual but romantic. ● threading habits: I am in MST. Most of my tagging comes during the day M-F since I’m stuck at a desk all day and my workload fluctuates greatly. Weekends are much more sporadic since that’s my gaming time, but I’m trying to be better about keeping up.

● age: Old. Like mid-50s to early-60s.
● occupation: Perimeter Guard, Orientation and Search & Rescue units. Newbies to the Guard are free to assume he’s given them at least a basic introduction to things.
● residence: Currently communal housing, floor 10. I’ve been thinking about moving him to his own apartment eventually.
● about: Mentor, sassmaster, serial teaser, and snappy dresser, X’rhun does it all!

Basically, X’rhun is a mage with unnecessarily flashy magic, a cool hat, and a somewhat tragic backstory. The latter doesn’t really stop him from being good humored and kind, and he’s pretty well-adjusted in spite of all of the shit he’s been through. He’s prone to adopting people who need a good, solid mentor figure in their lives, and sometimes even if they don’t.

The order of mages he belonged to swore an oath to protect the weak, and it’s something he still takes very seriously, so if you are ever in need of a rescue or a heal or a revive from KO, he’s you’re guy. On the other side, if your villain character needs someone to Strongly Disagree with them, he’s good for that too.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: I would love to have X’rhun go on more missions or have more shenanigans outside of the perimeter fence. Otherwise I want to establish more solid CR with him in general, positive or negative!
● what plans you have for this character: I would eventually like to have X’rhun take on students. If any characters are interested in learning red magic, X’rhun would be happy to teach them (OOCly, you will have to spend activity points to achieve this). Otherwise, he can teach plain old fencing as well, no ACP required.
● shipping/smut preferences: Since X’rhun is an Old Man, I would ask that any shipping be with adults who are around 30 at least. No preferences on gender. He’s not really the type to just have flings for the hell of it, so any relationship will have to work its way up to sex, but personally I’d be much more comfortable fading to black.

● what your character wants: To help people, to get better at this whole technology thing, a drinking buddy or two.
● what your character needs: Pretty much the above. I’ve canon-updated him, so his reasons for wanting to go home have pretty much been taken care of. He’s settling in nicely.

● about: Superhuman created as a biological weapon to fight a god-like entity. Has some freaky "waveform" powers but mostly uses guns in combat. She's hyper focused on having a duty and likes lording over people with her superiority. But deep down she's actually lonely and wants to learn how to live like a normal human. Also important to note, she's a CRAU version from a game she spent about a year in. Not much has changed about her, but she may drop bits about it in conversation. Full info over here

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: Currently, building CR since she's new and settling in. Also lots of exploration and research work since that's her new designated purpose.
● what plans you have for this character: Long-term, it's continuing her quest towards a more human existence. She was raised to think of herself as a disposable weapon but is now forced to find a path for herself which means forming relationships and maybe making irrational decisions every now and then.
● shipping/smut preferences: She's not the romantic type so smut is very unlikely to happen. She will, however, value people as her "comrades" if she gets close enough to them. Basically, platonic ships are totally a thing here. There was one person she kind of might have felt more for over in the other game, but it was and will forever be unspoken.... Also be aware she takes loyalty very seriously, so breaking her trust can result in an undying grudge.

● what your character wants: Work. The worst thing for her is to be bored, so she'll find things to fill her day and be useful.
● what your character needs: Same as above, she needs it to feel her existence is justified. However, she also needs (but doesn't quite want) to learn how to enjoy things and take a break once in a while. So anything that forces her to begrudgingly socialize is great!
