hello riverview! i'm sam, i'm new, and i'm bringing you lorna dane from the gifted! just like her comic book counterpart, lorna is the daughter of magneto (although this version does not like to talk about it and/or straight up won't acknowledge her parentage, since she wasn't raised by him,) and she shares his gift for metal manipulation.

lorna is living in shared housing; floor 7, room 3. her roommate is diana (dceu) so i hope you like screaming nightmares and metal flying around the room! (this should not happen much.)

best way to reach me is via pm! i have a post for her in the mingle log here, as well as inbox and friendr stuff over at her journal. i have permissions here, which applies to her metal sense (if you have any metal things you'd like lorna to notice, please comment!) as well as her pregnancy and mental health issues, in case anyone wants to opt out of hearing about that stuff! (lorna is canonically pregnant but will be frozen in her first trimester so as to not have to feel even more displaced without the support of her found family.)

i'm looking forward to diving in with you all! lorna will be working with the perimeter guard!

Welcome to the game, Sam! I'm Jamies and I just wanted to say-- OMG! Lorna! I'm so exciiiited! I'm way behind, but I don't mind spoilers, so I totally need to hit up your girl!

Ava here is a girl with powers and I have some thoughts, but I'll toss those at your permissions post. But basically, they're based around energy generation / manipulation and that involves some electro-magnetic stuff.

And if you were interested, Ava could definitely use knowing someone who maybe isn't a confused mess about how her powers work. Caveat: they never use the word mutant for Ava, but there is much noise made about her ~genetics~ so there's probably at least similarities.

And Ava sets things on fire when she has Bad Nightmares, so just. TLDR I think they'd be neat to bounce together.

YAY OKAY! that sounds similar enough that lorna would definitely consider her to be an honorary mutant and she'd want to take Ava under her wing in some fashion. (Even if Lorna's obviously not the most stable person around.)

awesome! lorna will definitely be all over laura in the very least for obvious reasons, she's a mutant and smol, but she's definitely not very....overbearing or ...parental so it shouldn't cramp her style too much!
