● threading preferences: Eh, I generally match format either way, don't care about past or present tense and prefer prose over action spam if I have a choice. I will backtag into eternity so if that's not your thing please feel free to let me know!
● threading habits: right now I am pretty backed up so I would say I get through my inbox about once a week. If you catch me at a good time I can boomerang for a bit, I generally do not tag at all on Tuesdays due to my schedule.
● about you: I am pretty boring tbh. I'm a music fanatic, and always open to rec's. I petsit for a living and have a dog, so if you add me on plurk you'll get animal pics. That's about the height of my excitement. I usually only post RP/fandom related things on my RP plurk when I can help it so it tends to be mostly game plotting and plurk memes.

● age: Ed's 22-years-old, as his birthday was at the end of January.
● occupation: Salvage & Repair, Surveyor, Freelance Repairs and Search & Rescue as needed (in that order)
● residence: A renovated shopping mall that was previously closed down.
● about: Ed is a CRAU who has been in two previous games so he'll look a little different than expected straight from canon. (Older, longer hair, full grown etc.)

He's pretty quick to make friends, even with people he got off on the wrong foot with to start. He's pretty knowledgeable about the whole multi-verse thing but also tends to keep to himself/his friends due to how much has been going on his life since arriving to Riverview.
Ed's pretty handy, repairs and making shit out of thin air are totally his thing.
● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: Personal relationships, mostly. I'd like to get him involved more with co-workers and people who need repairs, also people into talking about other worlds comparatively. Ed needs more friends, particularly friends who are invested in staying on the moon and making a home for themselves long term.
He will be getting himself into all sorts of things, between research, exploring this place, missions that come up and just over plot events in general. If anyone's interested in any of that, let me know!
● what plans you have for this character: Ed is always open to new CR that would be interested in research and/or exploration. He has a huge place to hang out since moving out of communal housing so anyone that would like a place to chill with all the amenities you can think of, feel free to become his friend.
I'm hoping to get him more social overall, going out with people, having get togethers and even starting on the dating scene have been in my plans since October.
● shipping/smut preferences: In an effort to get over Taiga I'd love to see Ed doing some casual dating in upcoming months, possibly to end in something long term but totally flexible. He's really only been with females up until this point so I'd like to explore with sexuality a bit for him. Sex is kind of ICly a rough topic due to his history and I prefer fade-to-black activity, but I'm totally open to discussing if we ever get that far. I'm a slow burn type, but I follow the CR chemistry.
● what your character wants: He's trying to make a home for himself here, research and working on getting to know the place better etc. Making friends with people who don't want to go home because he's sick of losing people, that sort of thing. Just trying to feel normal now that he's settling in a bit.
● what your character needs: Sparring partners, more friends, maybe a relationship down the line. Everything listed above.
● any open post/ic inbox links: IC Contact/Friendr, great if you need him to alchemy anything. Someone grabbed his device and altered his profile for fun so if that sort of thing is for you feel free to hit him up about it.

My thoughts for their meeting is the repair route. Noctis was left some cookware by a friend that has since left. Sadly, his skills in the kitchen are questionable. He could ruin the cooker, but not want to throw it away, which lands him looking for someone who can repair it.

That works for me! Noctis could hit up Ed's inbox if you'd like? He's pretty open about running the repair business and that's the easiest way to make an appointment. Ed also has some basic cooking skills so he could maybe help him out there if you're interested. I'm super flexible, so whatever works for you just let me know.

Orion Luis | OC
● name: Orion James Luis
● age: 20
● occupation: Animal Handler at the shelter. Possibly looking into adding him to the aquarium in coming months.
● residence: Communal Housing: Floor 1, Bed 9.
● about: Reincarnated hero and priest of Athena, Orion's fairly quiet and awkward, tends to mind his own business etc. More about him can be found here for anyone interested.
He's an expert on dogs and great for all of your animal troubles, otherwise everything you never needed to know about him and his world/history (including an opt-out post) can be found here. Orion has a bunch of stupid powers he won't be inclined to use except for soothing animals because he just wants to live a normal life and be left alone to do his job, for the most part.
Orion is an original character so please feel free to let me know if you have any questions that aren't covered in his information above! I am also good to keep all TDM threads canon if other players are interested.
● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: Orion is going to love the holidays and lack of pressure to get involved in things. (Feel free to try to get him involved in things, I'm totally open to that even if he might not be.) He's going to want to make friends, especially if your character is a dog lover or some form of animal themselves.
● what plans you have for this character: Hahaha..... I'm flexible?
● shipping/smut preferences: Orion recently lost his canon soulmate so he'll probably be off the table for a little while. Unfortunately he seems to swing pretty straight so that limits his shipping options unless something new develops to the contrary. Again I follow the CR but I'm all about slow burn and fade-to-black when it comes to games and that suits him just fine. Unlike Ed, Orion is a virgin who has never even touched on a relationship due to losing the closest thing he had to girlfriend as soon as they tried.

I have no immediate plans besides what we have but I love it all! Willa and Ed should definitely talk again so she can get pissed that he doesn't remember her. And then steal something of his out of annoyance and then he can find her and be pissed off.

We could do something in Ed's catch all if you want or wait until March to spread our stuff out a bit? He's not materialistic so the only thing she could really piss him off by stealing is the notebook he relies on to know who the hell is who right now. Or I guess his device since he tends to depend on that and not use anything else for the network despite having a laptop.

Ed's not really out much right now because he's trying to get reacquainted, with how behind I am atm I think next month would make sense for a variety of reasons. but I am definitely down for this happening.

Omg, what's interesting is that Willa has a chance of figuring out some of his codes because she has a mind for those kinds of puzzles. It's implied in the show that she's very smart but rarely given a chance to use her intelligence for anything that's useful. It depends how long it takes him to realize that she has it. She'd probably only get a few sentences before he found her and took it back.
It isn't like Willa can fight back but it'd be interesting to see how it goes down.

The third language is from Final Fantasy so neither Willa or Jay would know that one, which means even breaking the code there'd be a language barrier to deal with. (languages can be translated in game but it would be an extra step she'd have to deal with.)

Breaking a language is just like breaking another code. There are patterns in it and thinking of it as a language or not won't make it take longer to figure out what it is. It's actually really interesting how similarities between languages span across civilizations that have never communicated with each other. I wrote a paper about it in college. Turns out the human brain is wired to quantify things in similar ways that aren't altered by culture differences.
