● shipping/smut preferences: Michael is word-of-actor demisexual, so casual sex isn't something that's on the table. Emotional intimacy is everything. If the chemistry is right, he falls hard and fast, but trust issues, abandonment issues and abysmally low self-worth make him a therapist's dream and relationship nightmare. He burns somewhere between a candle and a Molotov cocktail. Expect a lot of unresolved sexual and emotional tension, and even more drama.

● what your character needs: Michael is a damaged individual in many ways, and needs a firm hand and a support network to function. Left to his own devices, he's on the path to self-destruction. He was blinded in an accident when he was nine years old, but he's the opposite of impaired - with the gift of vastly heightened senses, he can function just as well (if not better) than people with sight. Laywer by day, vigilante by night, Matt's morals are a bit grey but he wants to do the right thing. His actions, well being full of good intentions, are often misguided.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: I'd really like to get to know cross-canon characters and other players, and explore what Matt can do with a fresh start.
● what plans you have for this character: I'm a go-with-the-flow person, and I like when things happen organically. In a general sense, I'd like for Matt to let go of all the burden he puts on himself and become a part of a community.
● shipping/smut preferences: If I think it's a good fit, I'll definitely try it. I'm down for plotted romances or things happening organically, but it will likely have to grow over time, especially if it's with another man.

content/style: When possible, I prefer to have one thread with a character at a given time, because when I start doing multiple threads on multiple days, things always end up happening in the earlier threads that I would change how my muse would react in the later ones. I love it when scenes have a natural progression, much like they would to further tell a story in a movie. If I feel like we're getting into small talk territory that isn't really helping us build CR or a narrative arc, I'll either ask to hand wave the rest or gloss over a part of that part of the conversation (otherwise I just get really bored).

● about: In a nutshell? Psychopathic disabled warrior Viking prince. Ivar is the son of the show's main protagonist, King Ragnar Lothbrok, and the youngest of his five sons He's got brittle bone syndrome in his legs, which means he can't put any weight on them. Subsequently, he gets around either by dragging himself by the arms or by someone carrying him. This hasn't stopped him from becoming a Viking warrior in his own right.

He's a little bit crazy and unbalanced, seeing murder as a perfectly acceptable solution to all problems. Part of this is Viking culture, part of it is the fact he's a bit of a psycho. Also, he's got a very abrasive, angry personality, which comes from being disabled in a society where everything rests on physical prowess. He doesn't want anyone to pity him, so he'd rather snap back first. However, if one can get past his defenses and is actually nice to him, he can be surprisingly loyal. He's coming in right after getting brutal revenge on a king that had killed his father, so he's feeling pretty good about himself.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: Missions and exploration look like a lot of fun! Teaming up with people is my jam.
● what plans you have for this character: Just getting him settled in first of all. Finding him a way to get around since this place probably has things like wheelchairs he can use. Gaining friends, enemies, and people who tolerate a mouthy, insane teenager.
● shipping/smut preferences: Well, that might be difficult, since that disability I mentioned up there? It also makes him impotent, so smut is a bit out of question. He's also going to be very prickly and more than just a little bit creepy with any potential love interests, but hey, if crazy is your cup of tea, have your character go for it!

● what your character wants: To be taken seriously. He feels that people look on him as someone to be pitied or not taken seriously instead of a person. Do this and he might actually be pleasant to be around. Or at least not a complete jerk.
● what your character needs: Someone to rein him in. He tends to make impulsive decisions that usually result in violence if he doesn't have someone like his brothers or father around to watch him.

Having not watched Vikings since like, mid season 2 (i don't care about spoilers obvs) I'm just like 'WELL DAMN, THAT WAS A TRIP' re: that write-up, haha.

I have this girl (Ellie from TLoU) here who could use some tiny angry murderbros her own size since she is also kinda Troubled and would in no way look down on someone for having a disability. Idk if you're canon familiar but I can give you a run-down on her if you'd like.

Annnnd I also play Flint from Black Sails who is an irascible pirate captain currently masquerading as a mild-mannered carpenter who can definitely do that reining in stuff you're interested in since he has a +10 charisma modifier and is also absolutely terrifying when he puts his mind to it.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: Exploration, general shenanigans, ridiculous CR, I’m here for all of it. Stephen needs to make some friends and pretend like he’s not a complete disaster of a human being.
● what plans you have for this character: He’s got some issues to work through given the point I took him from, and following that, he’s gonna be on the research warpath to figure out some new magic. Someone make him stop and take a fucking nap, he really needs it.
● shipping/smut preferences: Stephen is pretty down with casual flings, but those won’t be anything more than one-offs. If a more lasting sort of deal is your goal, it’s gonna take time and he’ll be super-cagey the more anyone relates the relationship to being just that.

● about: The absolute definition of 'hot mess.' Her story starts at age 11 working as an illegal courier for her parents as they attempted to subvert government authority... until she accidentally blew up a factory (in self-defense!) and they had to go on the run. The man chasing them burned down the village they were hiding in, blamed it on the terrible criminal mastermind 12 year old fire mage Chandra Nalaar, killed her dad, imprisoned her mom, and sent her to be executed.

She escaped by ripping herself out of that plane and dropped herself on the doorstep of a bunch of pyromancer monks who took her in and raised her. She's been drifting around the blind eternities going from plane to plane and generally setting things on fire (in self-defense!) wherever she goes. She eventually kinda accidentally let out a bunch of eldritch horrors, but it wasn't her fault! And her most recent adventures have involved dealing with that mess and going home and starting a goddamn revolution with her mother.

She's still abbot of Keral Keep but she hasn't been back in like eight months. She's totally good at this responsibility thing!

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: Chandra is here to get in trouble, set stuff on fire, and explore all the things to explore! But mostly get in trouble and set stuff on fire.
● what plans you have for this character: Planning is antithetical to playing Chandra.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: 90% character relationships and development, 10% action and plot. I love me some silly storylines with a side of Deep Meaningful Moments.
● what plans you have for this character: And this is where I shame myself, because I rarely ever have plans. I am very go-with-the-flow. It's actually criminal. I'm always open to ideas, though! Plans and desires form out of past steps in the narrative.
● shipping/smut preferences: Am always up for shipping, though I prefer it when it's something that develops depending on cr, not vice-versa! As for smut I generally prefer FTB, but results may vary.

● what your character wants: William is used to goofing around, enjoying a good party and having a wide circle of friends. He's not used to maintaining them, though, since he's so often hopping from one universe to the next that the only constant is his family. That would be an interesting change here.

I love to play off of chaos and having Carl prove himself as survivor. At the same time, though, having his mindset full of worry and concern for his life (family and friends too) is a bit like a poison that wears on him. Thus having him try to fit back into a normal and build it up agin is also what I'm interested in doing because this kid seriously deserves down time for how much he's just spent trying to survive.
● what plans you have for this character: Aside from everything I just said above, a good start would be just connecting him with as many people as possible. Good relations or bad.
● shipping/smut preferences: for the time being flirting with and teasing my kid is welcome. but he's kinda awkward and stuck thinking about a relationship that barely started so anything right now would be too soon.

● what your character wants: To go home and Kill Bill (Negan). No, actually I think in a week Carl might like this place better than home because it will seem like everyone gets along (not that the standard is very high considering all the troubles with home but yeah). ● threading preferences: Prose is my personal preference but I don't mind matching brackets. Unless I know my partner has a strong pref I usually subscribe to a "the person who starts chooses the style" sort of rule. Morrigan's the type of person who's more inclined to use the network as a tool for info-gathering rather than chatting, if that makes sense, so I'm especially interested in face-to-face encounters for her.
● threading habits: I rp in present tense, my post length varies depending on the situation, and I don't feel like my partners should have to match either. I'm an EST night owl, and there are always exceptions but the bulk of my tags happen at night.

● about: Morrigan's a prickly shapeshifting witch who generally likes magic more than she likes people and thinks sentiment sucks. She has a complicated relationship with her mother.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: Long-term evolving CR! Awkward alliances and complicated (not necessarily romantic) relationships. Morrigan's reluctant to open up emotionally so I'd love to see her warm up to people over time. I enjoy action threads and world exploration so adventures are A+ and I like the kind of IC bonding that comes packaged with that.
● what plans you have for this character: None yet, other than making her be social. She's into herbalism so she'll have an interest in local plantlife and experimenting with anything new to her could lend itself to adventures or side effect miniplots.
● shipping/smut preferences: Morrigan's canonically only available to males, so I play her with a f/m lean. I'm personally open to whatever relationships create sparks and happen organically. If she's into someone she's initially more interested in sex than love because she thinks feelings are dumb. I'm cool with smut but it's never a requirement.

● what your character wants: Her way? She wants to live her own life as she sees fit. She'll probably want a private room asap but I think she should have deal with her communal assignment for a little while.

● what plans you have for this character: He'll be patrolling the city by night, taking his new job way too seriously by day, and attempting to maintain a secret identity somehow which I fully expect to bite him in the ass at some point. It is a terrible plan please feel free to notice.

● shipping/smut preferences: Right now he's just been pulled right out of the cusp of a long-awaited new relationship at home, so it's not going to be his priority for a while. That said I'm definitely down with exploring something new if CR leads in that direction! He's a committed serial monogamist, thus casual flings tend not to be his jam unless there's some established trust/bro CR/feelings of some kind involved first.


● what your character wants: To figure out the portal, to save lives, to go home
● what your character needs: Friendships, found family, a team of some kind?? Dick is a guarded dude by necessity rather than by nature, which basically just means that caring will usually come a lot sooner for him than real trust. I'd love to nudge him out of the comfortable circle of bat paranoia by tossing him at people who can get under his skin, shake up his priorities, and/or need him in some way. Negative CR is also welcome, please challenge his limited self awareness and absolute commitment to unattainable ideals.
