● threading habits: EST, I tag at least once every 1-3 days depending on my mood, but I can get into a boomeranging mood too. I tend to drop tags if 2-3 weeks have gone by w/o a response because I really just can't remember what the thread's about. I don't like to backtag into infinity and will often put an ooc note in my tags asking if we can wrap up if it's getting to a good place or small talk territory.
● about you: I like video games, small dogs, and chocolate. I crochet a lot. I play way too many OCs nowadays. Where did all my canon characters go?

● occupation: Harpist at local restaurants/cafes

● about: Cecelia is from 1815 England. She's a recent widow, and her big secret is that she is a werewolf. She was attacked by one during the full moon and he later showed up to show her how to live with being one. They married and lived on an estate in Lancashire for over a decade together, shunning most society because gossipy people like to pry into people's lives. But several months ago, her husband was in Scotland and escaped confinement during the full moon, attacking people in a nearby village where he was shot and killed. With all kinds of rumors spreading about him, Cecelia, and his death, she wished herself away from her life and into Riverview.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: Exploration!
● what plans you have for this character: Her meeting all kinds of people and shedding some of her ignorance. Also she'll be turning into a wolf every full moon and hanging out in the forest beyond the walls.
● shipping/smut preferences: I love shipping and can do smut, though I tend to do that less frequently and am always up to fading to black. That said, Cecelia had a strange marriage where they didn't want to bring a werewolf baby into the world, so they never had sex. They were intimate in other ways, though. Her 19th century sensibilities mean she'll expect a proper courtship and for everything to go slowly. But yeah, someone should let her in on the fact that 99% effective birth control exists. She's heterosexual and assumes everyone is looking for a marriage partner. Educate her, please.

● what your character wants: To socialize again. She's been so lonely.
● what your character needs: To socialize again! But also friends, people who can show her different viewpoints, a chance to stand on her own two feet instead of being someone who has to be looked after.

Unfortunately, Bucky is the least sociable person ever, but I think he would be interested meeting someone so obviously far back in the past.

Yeah, Bucky probably felt like a fish out of water. Now it's her turn. Get ready for someone who doesn't know what cars and phones are!

Ooh, a harpist. Seeing as he misses his own team bard (and will refuse to admit that) he'll be very interested in hearing her play.

Cool, cool! He'll have to come out and see her at these places.

I apologize in advance for him being excessively confusing. "So you're not actually a bard? Are you an Expert focused on Perform?"

1815 is only a hundredish years out from 1717. Which is less a milestone to bridge than all these damn millennials running around, haha.

I can absolutely have him go to one of her venues when she's doing her harp bit? James is. A hard man and a pirate and not terribly pleasant a person in his past but he is distancing himself from that life here. He was a Proper British Naval Officer once so it's easy to fall back on.

I usually like bracket logs (honestly my brackets are 90 percent prose anyway I just... prefer the style for some bizarre reason) but I'm willing to try prose and see where it goes if you'd like.

I'm really looking forward to CR with both him and Letha because of that! They can marvel over a microwave together, lol.

I think I'll definitely have to do an open post with her playing so there can be conversation after. It seems like a good topic to start off with.

Thanks! It's kind of hard for me to read bracket text when it goes over a couple lines, but if you slip back into it, don't worry! I can always zoom into the page if you try out prose writing and it just isn't your thing.

Haha, god. Flint is the sort of character who doesn't really let himself feel wonder or marvel at anything. He immediately threw himself into figuring out how these whacky tech gadgets work and has since been rather blase about the whole thing. (The only thing that's given him pause so far is learning people have been on the moon.)

Ah, if it's a readability issue I definitely don't mind adapting, so long as you don't mind present tense. I'm not even sure I can write in past-tense anymore, haha.

Oh, I completely forgot to say in my CR comment that I only do present tense! That includes prose as well. People just started switching over to that tense at some point and I followed along so now I can hardly do past tense either.

LMAO, drastic measures! But yeah, that would be great! I'm looking forward to exploring her reactions to everyone. Like how long can she stick to her comfort zone of societal rules before she decides to make allowances and then just step outside them?

Yeah it'll be probably a hell of an adjustment even just being around other people with different societal rules, never mind trying to conform to them, poor thing

I'm interested in seeing how these two get along based on Celtic instrument bonding (unless she's using a different type of harp) since he plays the bagpipes. He's also gay but I don't want to assume that'd freak her out or anything. He'd definitely try to get fix some of that ignorance.

Also he would not so secretly think it's awesome that she's a werewolf.

She'll probably be shocked, but I'm not playing her as being super religious (because, you know, the whole cursed as a werewolf thing. God hasn't listened to her prayers, etc.) but I'm looking forward to having her horizons broadened here. :3

I learned to play using a method created around a century after Cecelia's time so I wouldn't really know the difference. No worries there.

I look forward to throwing these two together then. Ronan can maybe act like less of an asshole if music is involved.

Oh, that's a really good idea! We can start with that, and maybe they can just discuss their own worlds a little bit? She's also a harpist so if he's ever out to eat she might be performing there. I need to do a log about that, perhaps next week. Um, what else? Maybe once she's had time to read up, he can quiz her a bit and fill in any gaps or answer questions she might have?
