● threading habits: Sporadic. I'm PST (GMT+8) but my work schedule is all over the place. I try to knock out a few tags at least every day, but sometimes I can only tag about once a week. It's all over the place, but I have no problem with any other tagging speeds!
● about you: I never know what to say in these things. I'm Canadian, I love musical theatre (but no I'm not obsessed with Hamilton), reading, and my cats. Of which I have two, one photogenic and one photophobic. If you add me on plurk you'll probably see a lot of pictures of Dovah, sorry. She's my baby. I work for a government liquor store in BC, and crazy shit happens there that I also sometimes plurk about.

● occupation: World Class Figure Skater; Olympic hopeful
● residence: Shared Housing; Floor 3, Room 2. He'd have driven everyone in communal housing crazy
● about: Yuri loves cats, wears all things animal print, and is an absolutely foul mouthed brat 90% of the time. He has a good heart, but he covers it up with an acerbic personality. He will shout at you, call you names, and berate you, and that's if he likes you. He's a super flexible, super talented young man with fears about puberty and growing up, and can lash out accordingly. No one is as hard on his flaws as he is, and he always seems to act like it's him vs. everyone else, even when it really isn't. He's a bit of a loner, he struggles to make friends (for obvious reasons) and he absolutely loves what he does. Skating is what he lives for.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: I'm really excited to explore Yuri on his own. He's never really been this alone before, and it's going to shake him up and make him appreciate those back home a lot more. He's impulsive- so between that and running his mouth it'll likely get him into a lot of trouble. As a teenager, Yuri really just wants to carve out his own place in the world, and I'm looking forward to how he'll find that in Riverview.
● what plans you have for this character: Nothing right now! We'll take things as they come.
● shipping/smut preferences: Yuri's 15, so I'm not really comfortable with smut for this boy. Awkward dating/shipping times as he tries to figure out what he likes and who he likes? Maybe! If it comes along!

● what your character wants: ~~An apartment full of cats~~ To continue his training, and perhaps to learn some more useful worldly skills. He's been in the figure skating bubble for so long that fending for himself is going to throw him for one hell of a loop.
● what your character needs: ~~Someone to adopt him~~. A confidante of sorts; Yuri would deny it but he really doesn't function well without someone he can depend on, and trust. It isn't easy to gain his trust, but he definitely needs that to help keep himself together in the face of trying obstacles.

Fellow BC-based Canuck? Hello, eh, Tim's and poutine etc etc. o7 Hilariously, my mother worked in a provincial liquor store at one point too.

I enjoy YoI a lot and I'm excited to see a Yuri around! I honestly have NO IDEA how this cr would go (Flint is a cantankerous pirate captain who is Very Terrifying and damn aren't these two completely opposing genres) but I'd be willing to give it a shot if you want to try. c: He wouldn't really look at a fifteen year old as being a 'kid' really, given the whole... 1717 thing (though he'd probably get called 'lad') so he might be inclined to treat Yuri more as a Small Adult that needs an attitude adjustment than anything else, which might help with the direction you want to take him in?

I always wonder if other BC LDB's are as weird and crazy as mine is. Literally right now I'm on my break and the power keeps trying to go out ahahaha. :x

I have NO IDEA how they'd get along but I absolutely love the idea of it. Yuri probably still thinks pirates are cool but he'd never ever tell you that. And treating him like a small adult would definitely put Flint in Yuri's slightly more tolerable graces hahaha. I would love to do something with that and I'm game to see where they go if you are!! :D

oh noo! the power needs to Cut That Nonsense Out. IDK whereabouts you live but it's too damn cold for power outages up north. And yes she has many a story, most of which involve insane amounts of product theft and shenanigans with pallet jacks tbh. I'm pretty sure I heard about a sister branch having a deer get into the store at one point though, which is just the most British Columbian ridiculousness one can encounter.

And yeah def! I was thinking about tossing a tag at your TDM post? I could use a prompt or wildcard it up and see where it goes, any preferences?

I MADE IT THROUGH WORK WITH POWER woooo. And thankfully I'm not too too far north; closer to Vancouver than not. So it was less a worry of the cold and more a worry of IT'S SUCH A PAIN IN THE ASS when the power goes out at the liquor store and it always happens when I'm relieving, I swear. 'DEE'S IN CHARGE LETS MAKE THINGS GO HAYWIRE 8D'. Also omg I think I too have heard a story about a deer in a store. It's like one of those hilarious LDB urban legends.

My personal favourite story with my own store is we once had a dude who left a clear plastic garbage bag full of meat of questionable origin in front of the store, so my manager threw it in the garbage, and he flipped out and got the bag of meat out of the garbage and started throwing the meat at our storefront windows. It was like 33C that day and let me tell you I was glad that I got back from lunch before he started meat flinging.

I would love that!! Whatever inspires you, be it one of the prompts or rolling wildcard, I'm flexible and will gladly roll with whatever. :D

Yuuuuurio. Having watched and loved YoI I can say that I think Yuri and Ronan will get along terribly and awfully and I would love to see it. They interact with people in very similar ways (insults, insults, and more insults). Maybe Ronan could be the awful mentor he doesn't need and teach him boxing or something.

Oh my gosh, Yuri!!! On Ice is the second anime I've watched in like, ten years that has actually been new and I can't believe how much I love it. IT JUST FILLED THIS NICHE INSIDE ME, SUNK INTO A PLACE AND FILLED SOMETHING I NEVER KNEW I WAS MISSING... I really enjoyed it haha.

I LOVE NEGATIVE CR and even vaguely-tolerates-one-another-CR 8D I still haven't read the Raven Cycle although I am sure I would really enjoy it but WHAT IS TIME. I'd love to see these kids box and have Yuri shout at Ronan some I am all for this!!!

I honestly thought I would not like YoI until I was convinced to watch it. It is amazing. If there were more information on the background characters I would have picked up one or two, ngl.

Yes, give me all your negative CR. Ronan wouldn't get into an actual fight with Yuri (unless he REALLY pissed him off by hurting his bird or kicks him in the back without warning *cough*) , since Yuri's younger. He'll probably go between kind of liking him and kind of hating him. And then he'll show up with a tiger jacket that's three sizes too big for Yuri because he can't decide which feeling is strongest.

And I feel you on not having time. The Raven Cycle was a relatively quick read for four books but even then, time is so short and fleeting.

She is definitely going to stay in school. She's trying to do something almost normal while she's here, for as much as she can. And even if she's bad at school, she enjoys going and trying to learn stuff.

There will be so much judgy face directed at Yuri for being a little shit. Lola may be desperate for peers but she does not let guys walk all over her... as much as she used to.

And don't worry, Yuri will do plenty of yelling. He's also super used to being up early and he'd definitely probably follow along to the gym some mornings because the gym is just as important as the rink!! He needs to keep up with his training okay.

Just wanted to express my joy at finding another musical theatre lover who isn't Hamilton crazy. :')

And lmao, I don't mind Hamilton, per se, but it's not my favourite. ~~I do mind the crazy Hamilfans who think it's the be all end all of musical theatre, though.~~ I'm really hoping that Anastasia tours when it's finished it's broadway run because it calls to itty bitty baby Dee who loved the Don Bluth film hahaha. Oh my god I can't even choose I love them all. Haha I'm really into anything by Frank Wildhorn, and German musicals/German translations. Rent was the love of my life for about ten years until I was in it, and now listening to it brings up a lot of (happy) emotions and memories so I sort of let it be.
