Prison Break is a good show, and it's on Netflix! Black Sails has been on my list forever. This may be the push I needed to watch it.

Michael is a problem. He's the guy who has been smart enough, charming enough and talented enough for everything to more or less go his way. He has a very innocent god complex, and is very good, polite and reasonable until he doesn't get his way. Then it's temper tantrums and breakdowns. It doesn't help that he somehow turns everyone around him into an enabler. He wouldn't get away with half the shit he does if he wasn't cute about it.

I am waiting for your response will steepling my fingers. Also, Michael is no stranger to shivvs. Some of his best friends almost shivved him. Prison is funny like that. It's also not enough to make him avoid Flint in the future, so feel free to do whatever. I can roll with it.

Maybe there are two for one therapist specials in Riverview. They could buddy up.

Black Sails is so delightful and Flint is such a goddamned tyrant it's amazing. I don't think I've ever liked such an unlikeable bastard as much as I enjoy Flint, which speaks to nothing but the solid writing and phenomenal acting that Toby Stephens brings to the table tbh. I don't think it's on netflix (at least not in Canada, to my eternal sadness) but I use 123movies dot IS, which is a free streaming site that doesn't have too many ads and no virus warnings that I've run into if you wanted to give it a try c: Honestly, your first tag was so intuitive I had to stop for a moment and go 'HAS THIS PERSON SEEN THE THING? SHOULD I BE CAREFUL ABOUT SPOILERS OR NAH?'

Haha God when you put it like that I'm just like 'THEY WILL GET ALONG LIKE A HOUSE ON FIRE'. Sounds like they're very similar people, tho Flint's not so heavy on the breakdowns and his 'tantrums' would more likely involve 'shooting that dude in the head because he pissed me off'.

Man if someone can get Flint to go to therapy to talk about his issues I would give them a homemade RPer of the Year award. It's not like the 1700s were a model of liberal mental healthcare, oop. I'm not sure that 'talking about your problems' is something that's literally every occurred to him, he's so fucking repressed in every corner of his life.

Michael is very empathetic, and also has an actual condition which makes him hyper-sensitive to people and the world around him. It's a very fine line to walk as a player, to be intuitive but not to info-mod and allow a margin for error.

I haven't seen the thing, but don't worry about spoilers! My memory is so bad I'll probably have forgotten it by the time I watch it anyway.

Michael cries a lot. He's somewhere between inhumanly resilient and incredibly fragile. People both admire/respect/fear him and baby him. Also like, super clingy, and has serious co-dependency and a thousand other issues. He actually was in therapy from childhood in canon, but it obviously didn't do much or he wouldn't be where he is.

I think you were spot on, tbh. Nothing you did in that first tag (or any one after it honestly) put me in the mind of info modding. I honestly enjoy being able to write characters that are Sharp around each other because the shit that they can pick up on can make for some very interesting threads as long as everyone's happy OOCly with how it's going. (and I'm super laid-back on that count, so feel free to come chat if something's not working out how you'd like it/etc)

oh no now I really want to give it a try. he sounds like my type all over, poor bab. ;-;

Yes, I love that. Micro-aggressions and affections are my jam. I am 1000% about problematic friends/rivals/enemies who know how to engage each other on a different level. I am also super laid back, you don't need to ask me, I'm seriously down for anything. I love to be shocked and surprised.

There are some really, really great characters in Prison Break. It isn't flawless but it's p. damn good, and a wild ride.

Also it ain't hard to look at. Just saying.
