● threading preferences: Brackets, not really a big prose person. I have a slight pref. for a longer bracket style but sometimes you just gotta throw out a short one to move a thread along and that's fine too.
● threading habits: I prefer to boomerang when and where possible. If I can't wrap a thread up in 7-10 days or so unless it's extremely character critical I'll probably ask to handwave the rest. I prefer threads to have some forward motion to them, and don't really like to do just idle small talk that leads nowhere. (Small talk that leads to better established CR is totally cool tho, just not the 'how's the weather?' type stuff.)

● occupation: He's a pirate captain that is absolutely going to masquerade as a carpenter.
● residence: communal housing floor 1/bed 5
● about: You know that line from PacRim 'to fight monsters, we made monsters of our own'? Welcome to Flint. Basically, he's a broken, fucked up husk of a formerly good man. He has done absolutely awful things in the pursuit of what he sees to be a Necessary Goal, he's made himself into a creature that others fear to cross. There is something absolutely animal in him that lurks behind a polished Londonian accent and a clever smile. That said, he hates the man he manufactured for this end, and will be glad to step away from it in Riverview in a misguided attempt at finding some 'peace'.
● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: I'm 100 percent here for the CR. Flint is someone who's spent his lifetime getting everyone he's close to dead or so close to it as to make no difference. He needs friends, man.
● what plans you have for this character: Nothing concrete yet.
● shipping/smut preferences: I'm fine exploring it and seeing if anything comes of it. Flint is Canon Bisexual but leans more towards being homoromantic (otherwise known as 'It's Fucking Complicated') with Exceptions (well, 'Exception'. Singular). Then again, he's also massively repressed and about as celibate as the day is long, so. I mean. Good... luck?
● what your character wants: to Figure Shit Out. Obviously he's a bit outdated on the whole technological aspect of things, and Flint is too damn smart to let that stymie him for long. He's going to be engaging people with an eye to the future of the world. Nukes sound awesome, can he get at least three of them, he has a date with England. Also: fuck the aristocracy.
● what your character needs: all things being what they are, probably a fucking hug. Probably ten hugs. Someone please humanize him before he goes feral and lives in a cave.

Seriously tho you know how I feel about this CR already. I have a mighty need for our TDM threads to be game canon and if he needs hugs and humanizing you know where you can shove him. Maybe in exchange he can idk, help Wanda learn how to be more confident or swagger her way through her moments of uncertainty.

I'd be up for trying it, absolutely! Flint is honestly going to be a pretty mellow mass murderer, all things considered, because he's away from the Dumpster Fire that is Nassau and all his horrible machinations but if you'd like to engineer some Clash of the Titans esque CR we can always have them meet in a crisis and Flint can go all Do As I Say Or Else on him, which... I imagine Bucky might not take too well, given his history. Thoughts?

Are you caught up on season 4 at all (aka: do i need to worry about spoilers?) Because Flint is honestly in a pretty relaxed place at the moment and while he's not overly inclined to Making Friends at the best of times he's at least not going to be openly trying to beat kids up and steal their lunch money until the whole world fears him here either. Sadly I don't know your dude but I might track down his -- movie? Series? for kicks.

Anyway I am not caught up on s4 as I'm waiting to have some more episodes to watch in a row, which I might start doing next week actually. I am very much looking forward to it but also am kind of a binging person... But yeah I'm very up for anything here :D

And that's totally legit. I've enjoyed S4 so far. I still think 2 was the strongest, but 4 isn't disappointing me so far except for a couple minor quibbles. Let me know when you sit down to binge and we can talk shop!

God, I think that if he'd approached Flint while they were alone or in private it would be going VERY DIFFERENTLY right now but because it's like, a public spectacle (... to a dude from the 1700s anyway, gdmit Flint you drama queen) he's losing his mind. Meanwhile I'm sitting here like 'DON'T THREATEN TO SHIV THE MAN IN A PUBLIC PLACE, MAN.' Michael is a problem. He's the guy who has been smart enough, charming enough and talented enough for everything to more or less go his way. He has a very innocent god complex, and is very good, polite and reasonable until he doesn't get his way. Then it's temper tantrums and breakdowns. It doesn't help that he somehow turns everyone around him into an enabler. He wouldn't get away with half the shit he does if he wasn't cute about it.
I am waiting for your response will steepling my fingers. Also, Michael is no stranger to shivvs. Some of his best friends almost shivved him. Prison is funny like that. It's also not enough to make him avoid Flint in the future, so feel free to do whatever. I can roll with it.
Maybe there are two for one therapist specials in Riverview. They could buddy up.
