● threading preferences: I'm good with either brackets or prose, but tags will come much quicker if they're in present tense rather than past. I love in-person threads, and am lighter on the network spam.

● about you: I live in BC, Canada with my girlfriend of six years and a 16 month old basset hound. My plurk is a pretty easy mix of real life and rp, I post a lot of memes, and you can expect a moderate level of photography posts if you friend me!

● occupation: He was a Police Detective at home, and he is a Police Officer working his way up the ladder in Riverview.
● residence: Shared Floor 3, Room 2.
● about: Stats + Permissions Post; Application; Eddie is an observant, cocky, quick-thinking, decisive police detective with a heart of gold and a massive hero complex. ...and despite all that stuff about him being smart, he's also kind of a ditz when it comes to science and pop culture. He's not terribly creative either, and can be a bit passive-aggressive, but he's very good-natured and will definitely take a bullet to protect you even if he doesn't know you. He's coming right from his death at the end of season one, where he took the aforementioned bullet to save everyone he loves, so he's got a few issues that he's going to be covering with a lot of smiles, filling his time in an attempt not to think, and generally being overly animated.

● what aspect of the game you are most interested in with this character: CR building, slice-of-life, and occasional exploration missions!
● what plans you have for this character: For the first while I'm going to play around with his lingering issues from having died, and him working his way up the ladder at the precinct. I definitely want to have him accompany some of the exploration missions as I get into the swing of the game though! Also in some distant future I would really like to use AC points to give him a superpower, that would be rad.
● shipping/smut preferences: I am definitely open to shipping. Eddie is getting over a relationship with a fiancée that lasted over a year, which is the definition of It's Complicated. But I really want him to get over that and move on. I play Eddie as pretty comfortably bisexual.

● what your character wants: People to take care of. Things to do. Not to think too much. Friends. Found family. A team.
● what your character needs: All of the above. Plus therapy, probably. Also, he doesn't realize it but he really needs people who might be willing to help him come out of his cheerfulness shell and actually express his sadness over being dead. And maybe the probable case of PTSD he has from being kidnapped and tied to a chair for almost 2 weeks a few days before he died.

Hey, probable PTSD friend, Bucky is probably going to be the one giving the police department things to do. Considering he'll be living (mostly) rough and stealing shit to get by like a sensible person.

I tagged your tdm thread too, though we don't have to make it canon so that we can do the whole 'catching doing something terrible' thing when the game is open.

Perfect. And I just saw that tag and got super excited (though I'll have to hit it up after I go to the doctor's office). Let's see how it goes, and then we can decide if we wanna go game canon or not? It might be interesting for him to catch Bucky and then recognize him, too.

Is it bad that I think these two could bond over having died? I mean that's terrible but. (Somebody start a support group for PTSD-ridden law enforcement and superheroes.)

Basically idk how they would get along but we should definitely see!

It's kind of terrible, but it would probably be good for Eddie, at least, since his is so recent. His big issue is smiling and throwing himself into work and not addressing the issue, so hearing that someone else here has gone through it might help break that down.

It would definitely be something to learn that dying and coming back is apparently just a thing when you deal with superheroes. :'D I don't have a TDM top level but I imagine they'll run into each other pretty soon when the game officially starts!

Yeesssss, he's even used to working with superheroes, since he was on Team Flash for a few months, so if Cap ever needs some intel from the police force....

I also love bonding, and I feel like these two would either butt heads or get along famously, and either would be great.

Steve will be happy to have someone to cooperate with either way! Even if they butt heads, having police to work with still makes him feel better. In the end, the common goal wins. I can't wait to see where their CR goes!

I think there's one that I met through RP whose sister is married to the brother of someone I graduated with that's not in this game. Yet. Yet.

I'm not sure yet how much we're allowed to engage with the NPCs floating around, but if Flint had chance to like, see Eddie engage with someone who was Obviously Breaking the Law and let them off with a warning instead of immediately abusing his power to extort money or threaten them Flint might actually approach him on that account alone tbh. Would that sound up your alley?

And clearly we must find this errant BCer and drag them in too! I don't think I've ever seen so many of us at once (I'm up in the northern capital myself enjoying this nice balmy -12 spring we're having)
